Yeah, the shroomery is getting pretty bad now. Seems like the same characters have to come in and argue like assholes no matter what the topic.

Is the Shroomery ythan envisioned giving out ban points because someone calls you out on your bullshit and disagrees with you?

Because that's what happened, incase anyone is wondering, I got an official warning for flaming by saying that you wouldn't have stickied this if it wasn't gay people.

Stop abusing your power because you don't like someone's opinion.

You didn't sticky shit when people shot up Paris and has double the amount of deaths, yet you sticky this.

Apparently you took away my ability to reply so I'll edit this.

It was not flaming, its factual.

We've seen atrocities in the past, and even larger atrocities.

No sticky.

The only difference between this shooting, and the paris shooting was that this one effects gay people.

Asante didn't give enough of a fuck to make a sticky for paris, but he dropped a sticky on the gay people getting shot.

Yes it was a tragedy. It was a tragedy because people died.

It was not a tragedy because gays died. It was a tragedy because PEOPLE died. Regardless of what they are sexually attracted too.

That's fucked up, and that's my opinion. It's not flame, it's not trolling, it's just facts of what I've seen.

You have a bias towards minorities. Don't try and argue that.

I wish the world was tolerant to all sort of people, of all sorts of histories, but sadly, it isnt that way.

Hate is a common thing within all humans, i feel it too sometimes, and i try to suppress it. It is hard thou.

Shroomery needs more positive PLUR shroomy vibes. I feel a lot of conflict on the boards lately, and its making me second guess the members of the Shroomery.

Are they my friends? Does every member boil with hate and unacceptance? Not sure who to trust no more....

Ive seen hostility increases in Cultivation too. Not as much as the Pub, but its definitely getting more hostile in there.

I mean, cultivation? come on....

And the reason for this, as you seem to be almost willfully ignoring, is the fact that Asante chose to bring this up in order to highlight the fact that the community of the Shroomery seems to be gravitating towards animosity, disrespect, judgementalism and sometimes all out hate for certain members. The analogy between the few that do so IRL and the few that do so here holds true.

Yet you latch onto the only thing you can and argue until you're blue in the face. Have you not noticed the half dozen posts in this thread from people who have noticed this and are generally upset with the way the culture here is headed?

You seem insistent on being part of the problem and do nothing, that I have ever seen, to be part of the solution. Are you really so surprised that you're under scrutiny and are being warned?

By all means, carry on as you are, but you're only shooting yourself in the foot, and will have privileges removed and eventually yourself removed. Is that what you want? Would it really kill you to show some compassion and kindness for a change?

There's always been hostility in cultivation and it never made sense.  I'd see a noob interested in growing/learning and people tell them "Use the fucking search engine!"

Wow, so welcoming.  Funny considering there's so few magic mushroom cultivators any noob should be welcomed and helped like crazy.  That's my opinion about cult at least :shrug:

All I can tell you is we're working on it, we're brainstorming up ideas of how to make The Pub a more shroomy place to be.  This year things WILL get better here.  Have some faith in us, stick around my friend, things are only going to get better.

I will stick around.

Alot members are good most the time, sometimes it seems the hate comes out, but the mods have been really good and a lot of members i see no hate from.

Its definitely a big mix of well-behaved and aggressiveness ive seen in members. I dont plan on leaving the Shroomery, unless Every Member starts war with each other. That would be very sad.

Some of its due to poor reaction to correction or obstenance to advancing knowledge. Many of us are over enthusiastic about doing things better and pushing the envelope on what is considered an acceptable result. But we do often take it too far as well. We need to learn to let it go when people don't want to accept or agree to disagree sometimes.

I still am gonna laugh my ass off at many posts made, but I might do more of it on the inside. . .
