Of the 3 forums I frequent, this is the only one that has no specific forum for the type of hardcore debated we're talking about here. At those forums, those threads live in the debate rooms and it seems to keep butthurt and hard feelings contained. I'm not sure it would work here, but I've seen it work at other places (one of these forums is much smaller than shroomery, the other is much bigger).
Probably should have a mass shooting and terrorism forum too

Only if they are categorized by the majority of the victims. Even then it would be jumping the shark.

From Seddique Mateen (father of shooter)- "God will punish those involved in homosexuality, this is not for the servants."
""Do not be deceived. God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows." - the Christian Lt. Governor of Texas' response to the Orlando shooting.
The fact is, in the United States, Christians are the biggest problem for gay people, not Muslims.
Here's some Christians walking through Target preaching against gay and transgendered people.
and it tells me that all religions are just stupid excuses to hate and control others
is islam any different?
Islam is the worst. It's far more oppressive a religion than Christianity. But, Islam has very little influence on American culture. Can you imagine a politician standing up and saying we need to protect Muslims when it comes to public policy that conflicts with their strongly held religious beliefs? It's absurd. Yet, that conversation happens all the time when it comes to Christians.

um... I hate to tell you but politicians are saying this about muslims, they're defending radical islamists while blaming everyone but the religious nut case for their actions. liberals in general have been doing the same, in the same breath liberals condemn christianity for slightly milder behavior

Muslims have almost zero political power in this country and nobody is defending radical Islamist.
Liberals in this country condemn fundamentalist Christians because they have political power, especially in the south. It's Christians who use rhetoric that inspires terrorist attacks against planned parenthood. People in our own country are saying those killed in Orlando got what they deserved because they were gay. One of them was the father of the Islamic terrorist, and another was the lieutenant governor of Texas.

remember that time the Secretary of state said that an attack on a US consulate was nothing more than a protest because of a youtube video that depicted the prophet as a pig fucker, what was the name of that place? Benghazi or something

but you dont condemn a religion that actually takes frequent action and has established laws in many countries that use the death penalty as a means of "doing you the favor of saving your soul from homosexuality". isnt the islamic rhetoric exactly the same?

wasnt that guy a democrat? the one that did the shooting, not the one that posted a bible verse on an inspirational background, it seems he didnt actually say anything about gays, the media sure as hell wanted to make that the message of the day though
of course you probably believe he woke up, checked the news, heard 50 gays were killed in a massacre and then slapped together this image in order to target homosexuals before getting his first cup of coffee since he posted it a 7am. you can keep making that something it wasnt, you do it frequently when the media tells you to
if there's mouse poo in the kitchen it's best to look for elephants in the bathroom as the likely culprit. liberal logic
