morning, y'all.  finally slept in a little! got great rest last night after tripping all day and roaming around the forest with my buddy and this traveler from down under.  was a real fun time.  both good mates, they are.

now i'm gonna smoke a bowl with neal and chill out.

friday is supposed to be rainy but thats w/e

I gots waterproof boots so even if it rains cats and doges that won't stop me

And yeah dude it's always so funny when it rains a lot this one part of the fairgrounds always gets super muddy and you get these big crowds of people hooting and hollering at you as you try to cross it without falling over

I went to Camp Bisco like, 5 years ago and it started raining pretty hard lol.


So muddy everywhere, people's tents were filling up with rain.


My buddy and I were just walking around, really high on K with these garbage bags on with arm holes to try and stay dry lol.  It didn't work.



And then we got kicked out the second morning

Lol at SKOJ 2 years ago me and my buddy had our tent right in the middle of the big field and it ended up pouring like crazy the 2nd day and the tent almost got completely flooded, like we had to move all the guitars to the center cuz water was pooling up around the sides and my buddy was so fucked up he could barely move so he just laid there while the tent filled up with water

That sucks. A couple years back at Phish's SPAC run, we were camped at Lees as always. That was the summer of constant rain, and the campgrounds were a swamp. We got there early, and there was a small patch of ground in the woods that was elevated above the rest. We called it the plateau, and snagged that ground. All of our stuff stayed dry, while we surrounded by the swamp. It was pretty awesome! Felt like kings surveying our domain. Lees is a bastion of lawlessness, and with the swampyness it was like camping in bayou. Only thing that sucked were the Mosquitos, which were merciless. I'm hoping for dry sunny weather for SKOJ.

The worst one was at Madsummer last year, it started raining on Friday and it literally didn't stop for 2 days straight

I had no foul weather gear for that one so I ended up just holing up at my buddy's house nearby hoping it would quit raining

It did eventually but by that time everybody was packing up for the weekend

I won't make the same mistake this year tho, so far the weather report looks promising but even if it does rain that won't stop those crazy lads and lasses from partying like there's no tomorrow
