do you have any clue about what you're suggesting?

is the military goin to walk into the mexican national bank and take the money? will they hold and occupy the mexican govt until it's paid? ridiculous.

you'd have been better off suggesting the unilateral sanction of mexican imports, just long enough they fire a few folks and have factories all along the border so full they can't run anymore.

which would look like shit on the international stage but the US seems to do what it wants w no repercussions

People can focus on both problems simultaneously.  Also different people have different priorities.  Maybe he thinks that the illegals are the bigger threat.

No, I was pointing out that a wall would be a big waste of money because there is net negative migration out of the country.

The US doesn't even try to stop people from leaving; any Mexican can just drive through the US border to the Mexican side and show their ID to the Mexican border guards who will let them through.  Your example, while funny, is equally ridiculous.


I'll stick with it being another case of your penchant for hyperbole biting you on the ass.

Both problems needs to be fixed, one can't rationalize illegals staying in the US because we have corrupt trade agreements.

It really doesn't even matter what government pays for the wall, $10 billion is a drop in the bucket for the US.

This is for national security and economic protection, $10 billions provides a great return on investment in this case.

I disagree, I don't think it would provide much national security or economic protection, but I can see the substance in that argument. It's irrelevant to my point, though. My point is not that we shouldn't have a wall, but that waging war to make a country pay for it is absurd. It seemed like that's what Loyola was/is arguing.
