Students Demand CSU-LA President Resign for Letting Ben Shapiro Speak * 1
    #22958622 -

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/02/25/ben-shapiro-cal-state-black-lives-matter-protest/

"Several dozen students staged a sit-in at the office of CSU-LA president William A. Covino on Thursday evening, demanding that he resign for allowing Ben Shapiro to speak at the school."

What happened to the days of open minded college students promoting the free exchange of ideas and free speech?  Now it's protesting to stop free speech.

Here are the retards in full action. Disagree with them and face physical attack.

Here is their leader, queen retard herself.

The Black Student Union feels they aren't safe if free speech is allowed on campus, their solution?  Attack a white journalist. :huxleyfacepalm:

I'm really terrified at how free speech is being stifled at liberal universities.

Let's be clear here.  The University allowed Ben Shapiro to speak on campus, in spite of the protests.

In other words, universities are NOT banning speech.

Free speech against these BLM types and reporters covering it to be more specific.

Let's not forget this little incident.

The University of Missouri fired the professor that tried to enforce the Safe Space.

Relax, free speech is still alive and well at Universities, in spite of a few people who don't get it.

Your free speech doesn't mean shit against this.

And if you're black speaking against it, you're an instant 'Uncle Tom' sellout.

more complaints about others using all the positional tools of their free speech because, it is opposition to their supported position of free speech.

:lolwut:

Protesting against someone speaking at their University is a position against free speech, it's not very complicated.

A university isn't exactly public property though.

Free speech doesn't mean you're required to give someone a platform, and it does also mean you can voice your own dissent.

I do agree when they say they have a right to be heard too.

It seems they have been heard as far as the shroomery.

I agree, Shapiro isn't entitled to speak at any University, but with that being said a organization on campus wanted to invite him for his presentation. If other organizations are allowed the same privilege for their speakers, then why not Shapiro?

"can voice your dissent"

Absolutely, but they threaten physical violence and also demand the President get fired for allowing the speaker to perform, it has NOTHING to do with the substance of his material.

Why don't they debate the subject matter instead of demanding that the speech shouldn't be allowed at all?

because they really don't have to. they're using their tools of speech to represent what they think.

threatening physical violence is your overstated opinion, we've already discussed this. It also wasn't "they" like you imply it was one person on social media and it was an open invitation no threat made.

you should try writing rightwing news, you always spin your stance and opinion right in there with the stories.

"because they really don't have to (debate the ideas)"

Why not?  Because they're INCAPABLE of debating those ideas, that's why. If a feminists speaks at the University, I wouldn't ask for her not to speak, I would challenge the substance of her opinions and ideas.

"they're using their tools of speech to represent what they think"

Not really, all they are doing is demanding that others are NOT allowed to speak. They are against free speech.  Now they are demanding the university president should be fired for having the speech on the campus, again they are against free speech.

That video rules, thanks qman.

They don't have to debate with shapiro because you don't debate with fake intellectuals, invited by YAF a student group notorious for having ties to white supremacy, when they host events called "when diversity becomes a problem", Notice here in his speech he didn't say much but shit talk leftist under the guise they won't let other views in? well maybe if shapiro had an actual view instead of just shit talking those you don't agree with it would be different. If he presented something other than classic ignorant social opinions he could be taken more seriously as an opposing viewpoint. But this guy is no more of a thinker than bill o'reilly. How many books has written about how the leftist world is holding down the poor conservatives? Dude has no substance and spreads a negative message.
