hunny bbq sauce = k3y

i always go for the not so widely known brands, which tend to be more flavorful, for worse or for better

i am a bbq sauce connoisseur  im actually eating some with some chicken tenders right now ...

Kona Coast Habanero & Garlic

This is really hot with a great flavor. It goes great on grilled chicken legs.

I like tryin' all sorts, and I've read a few recipies on makin' your own but haven't gotten around to it yet.

From a magazine my mama showed me when I was home for the holidays, it was proclaimed Open Pit Original Barbecue Sauce as the winner, "especially good for pulled pork and pork ribs, and for basting chicken wings."
Open Pit Original Barbecue Sauce, $1.70
At first we were dubious of this slightly thin, orange-tinted sauce, which didn't seem to have the heft we wanted. But in a blind taste test , in which we coated pulled pork with eight of the most widely available brands, then warmed it gently for 15 minutes, Open Pit had a distinctive vinegary, tangy flavor and a fine balance between spicy heat and subtle peppery notes. It enhanced the meat rather than overpowering it with a thick, sweet coating.

The Runner-Up was KC Masterpiece Original, $2. "We found its smoky-sweet flavor and signature thick texture irresistible (turn the bottle upside down for optimal results). Especially good for: Large beef ribs and grilled burgers."

Best itw is not already bottled, but you can fix it in 30 seconds

Mediterranean way

While cooking some good meat on a stone, trow some wine on it now and then to keep it moist, sprinkle little  olive oil where you've put a lot of  fresh harvested Rosmarinus officinalis, garlic, salt&lemon.
You can use a branch rosmarinus to brush the oil on grill-stone and meat, it's very important not baking it too dry

KC Masterpiece is good, but if you're looking for best in the world, this is it:
the pic is a little blurry, but the fine print says "Johhn'y's Smokestack Barbeque" It's a restaurant in Rolla, Missouri...the town sucks but it's some good bbq.

of course i'll stock up on american supplies!

once you move abroad and become an ex pat...you'll start to remember and MISS all the types of foods you once regularly ate. so whenever i get a chance to go back home to the states, i always take advantage of my 60 kilo bag limit and bring home a shitload of food back...like bbq sauce, pace picante sauce, oreo cookies, etc etc.

I had a boss one time that would order that shit or have people pick it up for him. He swore by it, but I've never tried it.

It really is the best I've ever tried.

Gates is a really famouse BBQ joint in the city of BBQ - Kansas City

Gates is this huge warehouse type building - people line up to order in these long lines. When you get to order you are greated by a 250lb + black lady yelling "Hi, may I help Yooooooooo!" You will then place your order "I'd like a big beef on a bun". She'll yell "Big BEEEEF on a BUUUUUUUUUUUUN".

Its great!
