When do I add my chicken sauce/glaze

I have a bottle of Iron Chef General Tso's sauce/glaze. I've used it once and I just cooked the chicken, then took the chicken off the heat (still in the pan), poured some sauce on it, stirred it around, and ate it. Is there a better way? Should I add it while it's cooking? Should I turn it on low heat and let the chicken simmer in the sauce?

How does one add sauce/glaze. (I say sauce/glaze because the bottle says sauce/glaze)

Depends , adding glaze before baking is one way, or near end of baking is another , personaly I would put it on maybe 10 minutes before the bird is done . -Tranceharper

general tso's is traditionally deep fried bits of chicken with a light crispy coating. the sauce is added after the bits have been deep fried, stirred around a wok until nicely coated.
