dude, thats like saying apples are the most popular fruits because their the most delicious
but its suggesting that people just watch football because of the mainstream
which seems a reasonable argument nowadays

Football is awesome. Anyone who can't see the action in it is blind. Some games are boring, but when it's good it's super exciting. Also, LOL at people that think there is more action in baseball. not even close.

Quote:
The result is that during these games, there was a nearly identical amount of action: about 14 minutes. To put that in context, that's about 10.9% of the total broadcast time (excluding commercials). It's a fraction of the roughly 88 minutes the players were shown standing around between plays, nearly 45% more than the 10 minutes of replays that are shown and almost four times as much as the cameras show players lounging in the dugout.

The total 14 minutes of action was about three minutes more action than one might see in a football game, according to our previous study.

Now everyone is LOLing at you.  Do some research?  LOL @ you

Doesn't this thread prove it?

"I'm watching the superbowl because its a social event and everyone is doing it"

Nobody says that about the nba finals or the world series...

no, its the ridiculously big guys, hot cheerleaders and tremendous amounts of testosterone

I think it has a lot to do with the fact that it is only one game and not a series.

i think sports are fun to watch, but for some reason i've never been able to make myself care enough about them to closely follow them. i totally get why anyone would, but i just don't for some reason. football games are fun to watch. so are hockey and basketball games. the only ones that bore me to tears are golf and baseball. but going to a baseball game can be cool.

Um no, you can take your research & stick it up your ass. I've watched plenty of sports, and football is by far the most exciting. Sorry you don't get what's happening on the field. Keep on being edgy brah, from my corner of the room....and I'd bet that I'm far from alone, you're just boring. I'm gonna enjoy an afternoon with friends, food & football. Have fun being edgy by yourself. Dismissed. :cookiemonster:

It's the finality of it.

I love baseball.  Period.  I almost never watch hockey until the playoffs.  Playoff hockey is great.  I like the NCAA tournament in B-Ball.  I played all of those sports.  I like to watch people who perform them extremely well and appreciate their artistry.

I am a Bronco fan and missed the blowout against the Seachickens. Learning to trust my instincts more or gut feelings.

Not missing this one. But if not a fan and no societal party do your own thing OP. You are not a loser. There are far worse things then studying on a Sunday.

I watch the Superbowl. Not because I'm a football fan, but because of the hype around it. The commercials. The shows. The parties. The entire culture around it is worshipped, i's amazing for business owners and I respect that.

I honestly didn't know Canadians watched the super bowl. Figured it was just a dumb American thing

Well. We are right next to you guys. We have the exact same TV channels, most of the values are similar and we've been Allies since the start.

Why wouldn't the biggest US TV show of the year not be watched by Canadians? We have football too.
