Kind of just want to find a nice quiet place to study. I don't watch football, but its the superbowl and ive never missed it. Will I be a complete jabaroni not watching it?

But I'm not really into watching football but I know my dad is so it'll be nice to spend that time with him even if I might not watch the whole thing

I watch the Superbowl. Not because I'm a football fan, but because of the hype around it. The commercials. The shows. The parties. The entire culture around it is worshipped, i's amazing for business owners and I respect that.

You won't be a loser for not watching it. Unfortunately because of all the losers that are watching it, we're going to keep hearing about it for the next 3 weeks at least. Expect lots of stupid football meme pics on Facebook and the like as well.

I haven't been into spectator sports in, at least,...10 or 15 years.
NBA strikes first put me off, and I never saw a reason to return.

How can you not see how other sports bring in fans?  On average, football has less action than baseball over the course of an entire game and it is always start-stop-start-stop, like the entire game is based on starting and stopping.  It's boring af and so is baseball.  Low scores make hockey and soccer boring.  Basketball for me is entertaining because there's constant action.

Watching a football game is about the most 'mundane' thing I can think of.

But, I dunno, we all have our little peccadillos...
The culture around the NFL, NBA, etc just turns me off.

Glad I'm not the same person I was then. But, to each their own.
I'm certainly not looking down at anyone or anything. Like anyone cares, :lol:

Its not really about the game itself with the superbowl, its more of a social event. Most people don't watch football but will watch the superbowl. Eating good food, have drinks, laughing at commercials. That social aspect is mainly why I feel like a dork not watching the game. Its like sitting home and studying instead of partying on new years eve or something.
