For those of us that didn't win the Powerball...
    #22777248 -

Here's a thousand dollars. Literally, a krugerrand is worth about a thousand dollars.
You have to spend it, can't save it for a rainy day.

$1,000 - what will you spend it on?

Tools, wood and other various materials.

With my face against the floor I can’t see who knocked me out of the way.
I don’t want to get back up but I have to so it might as well be today.
Nothing appeals to me no one feels like me, I’m too busy being calm to disappear.
I’m in no shape to be alone contrary to the shit that you might hear.

Me I would spend it in the kitchen. I want my kitchen sink redone and get a new fridge. Fridge I have is fine but its OLD so it guzzles a lot of electricity, a new one would earn itself back in energy savings.

I won $4, can I still reply?

I thought about this for a bit because I'm awake and can't sleep. I'm not rich by any means but I'm content. An extra $1,000 wouldn't really change my life in an appreciable way. I think I'd probably donate it to an animal rights charity, or maybe get a couple nice gifts for my parents. Otherwise I'd probably just end up spending it all on a QP and smoking it up in a couple months.

I didn't even check the tickets yet. They're in the sleeping wifes purse.
I did donate 10 bucks, she plays more regular than me.

I won €3.72 so I guess we got the same prize :kingtard:

$1,000 for us isnt a big thing, for the refugee I'm helping it means the world. That's a year of above average salary where he lived, hes on the go now.

It sure made me a lot less frivolous in my spending, realizing the reality of money and the world. I found this to be particularly meaningful:

I'd put $1000 in fixing my kitchen up a bit and $1500 in crawlspace insulation. Both earn themselves back, the energy efficient fridge vs my 30yo fridge, and crawlspace insulation.

Scrooge McDuck would be pleased, a dollar saved is a dollar made.

I just got an 8ft toolbox for the side of my truck, I would get another, the 96$ left over would go towards groceries

I hope it lands in your lap, for getting in business.

Back in the golden age of MXE, at one point, 500 bucks bought you 100 grams of MXE. Those were the days folks!

You're funny. I saw where you told ml420 you would insulate your attic with 1500 bucks, now this. Ever since you got that new dryer you've been all about some energy savings huh?
