Nootropic crew: What's your stack?
    #22592023 -

My life has improved dramatically since I started investing in taking care of my brain and body by eating right, exercising, and supplementing nootropic chemicals. I feel younger, I look younger. I have more energy and I just love and appreciate life so much more than I ever did before. I tend to go for substances that are the building blocks of the body's biochemistry rather than substances that modify neurotransmitter functioning, though some of the substances I take do so. What do you take?

Curcumin 1500mg/Piperine 5mg
Theanine 300-400mg
Choline 500mg
Sulbutiamine 200mg (sometimes)
Fish Oil 1000mg
Huperazine A 25mcg
Phosphatidylserine 500mg
L-Arginine 3grams
Caffeine 200mg

Lately it's been:
Curcumin supplement
fish oil
aged garlic extract
bacopa extract
creatine + fenugreek extract
and I drink either green tea, black tea, or guayusa frequently

Occasionally I'll add in one or two of the following:
gotu kola extract, rhodiola extract, ashwagandha extract, chocolift (chocolate extract), vitamins (d, k), magnesium glycinate, Grape seed extract.

Anyone in here take any of the ampakines, like the racetams, or noopept?

I am hesitant to start taking anything like that for fear of becoming at least psychologically if not physically dependent upon  it.

I take turmeric daily for my health.

My current nootropic stack is super cheap-

Noopept and regular choline .

Alpha GPC choline is better but I got a 100 day supply of noopept and choline for 7 dollars.

I have had a bunch of health issues and do not currently produce enough dopamine and serotonin among other things. My dosages would probably make a normal healthy personal overly stimulated.

Morning:
Mucuna (cycling 8 weeks on, 4 weeks off)
Maca (cycling 8 weeks on, 4 weeks off)
NALT
DL-Phenylalanine
B6 200mg
P5P 100mg
B12 1-5mg + 400-800mg Metafolin sublingual
Thiamine(B1) 300mg
Vit D3 5000-10000 IU
SAM-E 800mg
L-Glutamine 5000mg (with 1000-2000mg Vit C)
L-Methionine 2000mg

Middle of day:
Acetyl L-Carnitine 1000mg
TMG 1000mg
L-Methionine 2000mg

Evening/night:
5-HTP 200mg time release, sometimes supplied with 100-200mg non time release
Theanine 200mg
Taurine 1000mg
Tryptophan sometimes

Other supplements (several of these are probably also considered nootropics):
Calcium, biotin, vit K, Q10, ubiquinol, biotin, zink (picolinate) 50-100mg, D-ribose, ALA, chromium, vit A, vit E, manganese, stinging nettle root, EGCG, Omega 6, pine pollen, bee pollen, magnesium malate, silymarin, molybdenum.

Noopept and oxiracetam. Such a great combo - I start to think I'm smart. Seriously helps me learn new songs faster and be in tune more (I play 3 instruments..)
Also take omega oils, B complex, D, C, Magnesium. Recently did a course of several kinds of mushroom extract. But none of those feel nootropic.
Seriously recommend the noopept+oxiracetam combo to any one who is in school or has mind intensive hobbies. Noopept also has other benefits - increased nerve growth factor. If you are doing things to improve the vagus nerve connection and such it seriously helps repair damage and get the whole system running smoothly.

Choline is part of the B complex.
Also there are no needs in and of themselves - not without a reason. For example we do not need to work but we need to work if want to get a paycheck. That sort of thing. Speaking this way really clears up your own mental mess and makes communication clear. Make you reflect on your own views and data as you speak - I find it very useful.

My understanding is you need a choline source to properly utilize racetams.

Not sure if this would be called a nootropic.  I guess its not but my mother works at a health food store and she met with a rep from Paul Stamet's Fungi Perfecti and was told its perfectly safe for humans and is allot cheaper and comes in larger amounts if marketed for pets.  Its just a blend of specific mushroom mycelium and fruiting bodies (listed below.)  Not really a 'smart drug' but I just started taking this daily.  FYI:

Quote:
Cordyceps is used to treat coughs, chronic bronchitis, respiratory disorders, kidney disorders, nighttime urination, male sexual problems, anemia, irregular heartbeat, high cholesterol, liver disorders, dizziness, weakness, ringing in the ears, unwanted weight loss, and opiumaddiction.

It is also used for strengthening the immune system, improving athletic performance, reducing the effects of aging, promoting longer life, and improving liver function in people with hepatitis B.

Some people use cordyceps as a stimulant, a tonic, and an “adaptogen,” which is used to increase energy, enhance stamina, and reduce fatigue.

Reishi mushroom is used for boosting the immune system; viral infections such as the flu (influenza), swine flu, and avian flu; lung conditions including asthma and bronchitis; heart disease and contributing conditions such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol; kidney disease; cancer; and liver disease. It is also used for HIV/AIDS, altitude sickness, chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), trouble sleeping (insomnia), stomach ulcers, poisoning, and herpes pain. Other uses include reducing stress and preventing fatigue.

Maitake mushroom is used to treat cancer and also to relieve some of the side effects of chemical treatment (chemotherapy) for cancer. It is also used for HIV/AIDS, chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), hepatitis, hay fever, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, weight loss or control, and infertility due to a condition called polycystic ovary syndrome.

Shiitake mushroom is used for boosting the immune system, lowering bloodcholesterol levels, treating prostate cancer, and as an anti-aging agent.

Coriolus mushroom, PSP, and PSK are used for stimulating the immune system; treating herpes, chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), hepatitis, and pulmonary disorders; reducing phlegm; improving bodybuilding results; increasing energy; curing ringworm and a skin condition called impetigo; treating upper respiratory, urinary, and digestive tract infections; curing liver disorders including hepatitis; reducing the toxic effects and pain of chemotherapy and radiation therapy; increasing the effectiveness of chemotherapy; prolonging life and raising the quality of life of cancer patients; and increasing appetite.

How does noopept compare to piracetam?  I've taken piracetam but never noopept.

Noopept is like a thousand times stronger. to me noopept is the realest, the highly concentrated potent racetam.
