what really ties a pizza together?

i love pizza and have always

ive werked in a few pizzarias and i enjoyed it

im actually thinking about begining to make my own pizza and eventually open up my own pizzaria

i wanna serve NY style pizza classic with a nice foldable crust,stretchy cheese,perfect sauce and quality ingredients all cooked in a perfectly tuned oven

i also wanna come up with a few pizzas that have a the sauce on the top and the cheese on the bottom

im thinking the most important thing that ties a pizza together is the  sauce and the crust

what say you?

well thats from the cheese and the toppings/meats but yes a small amount of grease/fat is :homerdrool:

that actually made me hungry for NY style pizza

I think it would be quality toppings and sauce And cheese and dough. Pretty much everything. It's kind of hard to fuck up a pizza

In all seriousness I think it's the cooking time the spices and the toppings mostly.
The perfect amount of cheese would help too.

i want a semi sweet somewhat black-peppery sauce but not too peppery one bit

and bomb crust,crispy and chewy foldable but not sloppy...it will fold but crack at the same time

galicy butter glazed on the end-crusts too

idk but say it takes 1 crust, 2 cups of cheese and 5oz of sauce to make a pizza

1 crust + 2 cups of cheese + 5oz of sauce -> 1 pizza
