Agreed. Of course, I would suggest casing it for the first flush.

Respect that which you seek.

You actually got some growth with a mycobag? How long did it take to colonize?

JUST TO ASK ANOTHER NEWB Q:
is casing is just a covering for the shrooms to pop out of?
not nutieant....

its light & airy.
so after you dry substrait reintroduce moisture warmth & light it pops out?

should have all nutriant in bag or cake...?

What do you mean actually????? When I first started my GF bought me 4 myco bags from sporeworks and all 4 of them colinized in 3 weeks fully and gave me a good deal of shrooms. The first 2 I just grew the first flush and birthed into a rubbermaid and my last 2 I crumbled and cased and got alot of shrooms. So I have to say if you take care of them like you are supposed to you will be happy. And im not a sponser.

Paper clips work well to reseal the bag. Just fold it over a couple of times and clip. Clothes pinns work too. You can mist the bag with a spray bottle between flushes. Just pour out any water that isn't absorbed in the first 24-36 hours. The bag works as a fine terarium.

Don't worry too much about contamination... once the bag is fully colonized. A brick of myc is pretty contam resistant. Sterility is a bigger concern during colonization than it is during fruiting. To be on the safe side, you can add a little h2o2 to your water bottle and mist with peroxide.

it took me about 3 weeks for them to colonize, those things actually work really well.
