household items to tamper with...

does anyone out there know any good ways of makin pipes out of random stuff? i just got my piece stolen from me not too long ago, and now i'm really poor.  :frown:

most DIY bongs/pipes are ok for just a one-time novelty or emergency use... but you probably wouldn't want to use it everyday, considering the usual household item used are like plastic and tin foil, both of which emit harmful fumes and vapors. OK in small amounts but harmful if used habitually.

Just go down to your local towelhead mart gas station and buy a cheap metal hand pipe. They're usually not anymore than $5-7 and are a staple to any pot head. If you're tight on money or don;t have time to go to a head shop and pick out a decent peice the basic metal handpipe is your friend.  :thumbup:

One time I was REALLY bored, and I decided to make a bong. So I plotted, schemed, and brainstormed....and decided to use those Starbuck Frappuchino coffee jars that people like to drink. I reccommend the Mocha. So, then I decided that I would need a pipe/tubular object to fit inside it THRU the hole on the metal cap twisted tightly on the jar, which I created meticulously with a knife. Then, I used tinfoil to make a bowl--cheap, but works great. But, that wasn't anywhere near done yet. Then I decided to take the rubber tubular-jacket of a spare un-used cable for tv/vcrs/whatever, off of the wire/cable. I then created a small hole thru the metal cap twisted tightly onto the jar, and fit the rubber tube in it, after I added a few layers of medical-white tape to make it fit snugly and tightly. I did the same thing with the metal pipe--add tape around the part that is in contact with the metal cap twisted tightly onto the jug. THEN, my bong was finished. BUT...as I realized a still had quite a bit of material left--jars, cable-tube, tape, metal-tube--I decided to make THREE bongs...and I did. Not only did I manage to do that...but I also hooked up all three of them TOGETHER, so they all worked as a three-piece water bong. The smoke would go through three jugs of water--super smooth. It was awesome.
Sorta reminded me of how a Cow's stomach works..except a cow has four stomachs. Maybe a subconscious memory of how a Cow's stomach works is what inspired me to create the Menage `a trois, which is what I called the bong, hehehe, cuz it's THREE bongs having a threesome in a sense. :grin: Always give your bong a good name. :thumbup:

This is a previous post I made sometime:

"A real easy way to make a waterpipe is to take a plastic cola bottle. Use a ciggarette to melt a hole in the front and back at the lower end of the bottle. In one side you diagonally stick a pen with the insides removed. You raise the water so that part of the pen is submerged.
You hold your finger on the other hole and toke through the normal opening of the bottle. You then remove you finger from the other hole and inhale. Its simple, and can be done almost anywhere  :grin:"

If you have a drill press and a glass bit, and an empty 40 bottle you can make a pretty nice bong using that. I'm working on making one out of a Crown Royal bottle, but i haven't finished off the booze yet.

toilet paper roll...cut a hole in the middle...press aluminam foil down into the center of it...poke some small holes in the foil with a pin...tape or rubber band several folded up layers of toilet paper at the one end...smoke out of the other end.

Coolest thing I've ever seen is when my old roommate handed me an apple that she had turned into a pipe.  Cut a bowl in the top & bore a hole through the middle to get some airflow & there you go.  You can even eat it when you're done!  :stoned:

I also saw her do that to a carrot, so you can probably use damn near anything.

haha, thats pretty funny. yeah i've done the apple thing, apples have saved my ass thousands of times lately, they actually hit surprisingly well. i tried making a bong out of a 2 liter bottle last night...wow what a failure. i used a pen for the stem, and it melted hella. sometimes i think its fun to just try to make a bong or a piece, even if you have one. my school is so chill that my teach would let me make a pipe in wood shop. i think i'll do that tomorrow....but i dont know about wood pipes, they work? w/e i'll find out. :bong:

If I remember correctly you Americans have those really thin plastic coke bottles, right? Here in Holland we have strong 1,5L PET bottles which are returned to the supermarket after use and recycled.

wood works, use a heavy wood if possible, try to stay away from pine ect. wood bowls usually taste really bad after you use them a few times though.

I once made a really nice pipe out of real heavy oak. It worked great with very little taste from the wood. Until it got stolen at a party.
