I started this piece this morning. This is 99.9 fine silver, Deer Creek Fire Agate, and Himalaya Mine Pink Tourmaline. Please let me know what you think.

without some classy engraving, the fire agate looks to nice compared to the bear, and the pink looks a bit out of place.
also, polish, polish the silver im thinking

No casting all soder and files. I don't have a Lindsaygraver yet. This is my 5th piece and it has 13 soder points!

I don't like insanely polished silver and it's fine silver anyway which natuurally gets dinged. It's a matter of preference. Not selling to old ladies.

Also the picture makes the most minute scratches look really big, which they aren't. It actually looks very polished in real life. The mouth especially came out bad in the pic. It's the glare mostly.

im pretty sure they make manual engravers, i was looking into it at one point if i remember right they had some hand ones that cost like $20-$50, then it was like a grand or more for those electric ones
anyways i really like engravings so when i see bare metal i almost puke. kind of the same way with metal that doesn't shine, i feel like if your going to use metal it better shine or whats the point might as well be using plastic
i do like the bear claws tho

i like your work, i feel though that the bear needs some more detail in it ? and i like what you've done to the obsidian pendant below it

Detail like what? There is nothing more to a jerry bear other than color. The claws are meant to be that way.

Haha that could easily be a bong! I was going for that he's stoked because he found a tourmaline, but makes a great bong too. It's funny what you can do with jerry bears!

No I've never owned a moldavite. I see a lot of it at the gem shows though. I work with mostly fire obsidian and electric blue obsidian.
