Things to do in Costa Rica?

I'm going in October and I'm trying to figure out things I should do there and what I should see. Any tips from people that have been there would be awesome!

How easy is it to score down at places like that? I feel like I'm going to get robbed or sold into into prostitution by gangs of armed Colombian children.

i had no problem buying weed in Belize. all you need to do is find a bar near your resort/ship and someone there will have drugs. they were probably selling all kinds of shit, but that was before i got adventurous with harder drugs

it might be different outside of tourist areas though, i'm not sure.

Climb Cerro Chirripo!



The lower elevation "Cloud Bridge" forest at the base of the mountain is pretty cool too if you need to kill time waiting to get a permit go up the mountain.

Also I really liked the Nicoya Peninsula.

Listen if you wanna get good weed. Dont go to shady place.

If you have the opportunity go to San Pedro, San Jose. Its on the Capital and weed there is pretty good and the best price of the country, also its pretty safe. (As most of the country lol, unless you go to Red Zone or shit like that.)

You can get what we call 'creepy', 'creep' or 'crippy' and sometimes 'green'.
If you ask for this you will get high grade, 'chronic' shit.

An eight would cost YOU (I mean tourists) from 25k-35k colones. That would be like $50 - $70 !

Us locals wont ever buy an 8th for $70. We get it around 25000 colones ($50) but since you're not a local you will be pbly getting a high price.

You can also ask for BHO, wax. We call it "aceite", "oil", wax. But only a few people know what that is. A gram could cost a local 25k -35k so ($50 - $70).
There's also Hash(1g=$20, LSD(1hit=$20), MDMA, mushrooms...

I dont do cocaine but youll certainly get some. I dont know about purity or price. I think a gram of coke costs like 5k colones $10 ?

If cops catch you with weed, either posession and consumption are decriminalized. You could even carry a OZ or more and they won't do to much problem. So you could take the chance and drive with an ounce or two well stashed.
All other drugs are also consumption decriminalized, but they're not taken very well by cops... So if you like coke, heroin try not to carry more than the personal dose :smile:

When I go to the beach I stash the weed in the cooler, on the bottom. Well closed. then put some ice, then some beers then more ice /beers. lol

Also if you wanna party in San Jose. You can ask for the Calle de la Amargura, La California. This is Near San pedro. You can go to more expensive
clubs. I will give you some names. Vertigo club is a great place and if you go on a friday you can attend to an event called: FYAH RED. Its reggae and other reggae-esque music genres. People like to go drop some MD or candy flip and usually it ends after the sunrise! Go to belle or home lounge. Antik is a beautiful place, check it if you like electronica!
So, you like hookers? haha! Prostitution is ILLEGAL. But there are lots of places as you already know. If you want high quality bitches as for EL Rey Hotel, in San jose ! :smile:


Beaches, beaches... Tamarindo beach is where most of us (mid-high and high class locals go to.) So you will find Europeans. Nice beach, cool hotels, atvs and all that shit. Check Playa Conchal, Playa hermosa, Playa Flamingo. (New Year's partys in Flamingo are INSANE) also are nice in Tamarindo.

If you like mountain go to Volcan Arenal (active), San Carlos, Sarapiqui and shit like that if you wanna see animals and stuff. There you go lol !If you want you can PM. I hope you enjoy your visit mae! "mae"(mah-eh) is like saying dude :smile:

Hike in the jungle. Go surfing if you can. See the animals and plants. The jungle there is amazing.
