I have never heard of this guy before, but damn, it's some impressive drumming, especially the stick trick video. Check it out....
His name is Thomas Lang btw

Yeah, that's pretty crazy. I think some if it's a bit over the top though. Like how often he hits the cymbals. There's just so much noise sometimes, you can't really hear what he's doing.

In chicago I see little kids doing better tricks than that on buckets. For real those kids are talented as hell.

Yeah.. he's pretty good. But if you want a hardcore mother fucker.. check out Gene Hoglan..the former drummer for Death..also played in Testament, Dark Angel, and Old Man's Child..appears as though now he is in Strapping Young Lad

Yeah, Death is just an amazing band in general. I still haven't checked Control Denied out yet...I heard it's still Chuck on guitar but he doesn't sing.....kind of a let down

he's aight... but he like has so much going on you can't just hear a simple beat you can groove to. Probably why I felt the 'playing with a track' video was awful. It was slow moving riff and he was like going crazy... no need to play like septoplets during a slower riff.
anyway I've been to 100s of persussion seminar things since elementary school... mostly cuz I was in the perscussion section of our band. This guy isn't really anything that special... I've seen kids in high school play just was well.
And for the stick tricks... nothing special there. Ever watch a snare line during marching season switch off sticks with each other and play on each other's drums? Now THERE'S some talent. Tossing and ducking and clicking stick around all while marching and having to count your steps and know where your 'spot' is having to pace just right to make everything flow together.
Everyone makes fun of the marching band... but until they can get out there and do all of that and make it look and sound good they need to shut the fuck up.
actually at my school no one really made fun of the band kids cuz we ALWAYS got best in our class. kinda like winning 'state' in sports. I think this will be the 14th year in a row the band has gotten straight ones at all the contests. I dunno though I graduated in 2000 but my sister tells me the band is still doing good.
