Every time I've hit what I think is rock bottom, the floor caves in and I hit a new low.

In other words, no I haven't. Things can always get worse as has been demonstrated to me numerous times.

Rock bottom is nothing positive at all, you should starwe, i think, not be yourself, exhausted, not having anything positive either to come, or have been. Your dreams are all nightmares, but grey, and not exiting, the drugs dont help anymore, you want to die, but why bother, youre dead inside, youre too tired to bother reacting to any negativity, as youre now a husk with a pulse. At this point there is no fear, no worries ect.. just complete mindnumbing apathy to whatever may happen next, be it you will be raped by a horse or ripped limb from limb, it causes no reaction..

From this state, all notions, values ect are ripped away, and you may start to feel abit of gratitude if you can get your soul back.

I hit rock bottom this last Christmas.

That's definitely good that you have that.

I hit rock bottom a little over two years ago.
I had to drop an entire semester of college and move back to my parents' until next semester started.

I thought I did when I lost just about everything I owned, most of my friends, and my sanity coming off benzos.

Then I thought I did a year later when I was looking for rigs along the side of the highway by my house where I always tossed them out of the window driving off.

Again a few weeks later when I emptied out a spore syringe and used an 18g needle to IV dope with.

The first time a friend had to kick in their bathroom door because I fell out after fixing in there. And the 4th time.

When I ODed in the bathroom, in rehab.

Then a few days after when I dug a can out of the trash at a bus stop to use as a cooker and drew water out of a puddle.

And when I ODed on meth and laid on the sidewalk downtown puking and shitting on myself.


Rock bottom is an illusion.

Because my situation could have been much worse I don't think I hit rock bottom. The worst I got was seriously considering getting a gun and sticking people up. I was already stealing food and doing smash and grabs to be able to pay bills. I had a job but my bills were twice what I made and I couldn't find any other work. I only did it long enough to make enough money to get myself to a new area. Started making better life decisions and now I have a nice life and I'm an all around good person.
