Streaming Webcam

I recently acquired a Quickcam 4000-and I wanna set up a streaming webcam webpage. I tried different programs that were all shitty but worked somewhat (well, some of them worked somewhat). The ones I tried that worked allowed you to make an account where they'd stream your webcam's footage, and you could send the link to friends/family or whatever. My question is, since these services are incredibly shitty and restrict you from a lot of options, how can I set up my own webpage to stream media? The only thing I found took pictures with my webcam and updated them on a webpage every 30 seconds. But I'm looking to stream my webcam, not just have it updated every 30 seconds on some webpage. Can anyone help? I'd really like to set it up. Thanks.

Well, Im assuming you want this for windows, the biggest problem you going to run into is buying the software. Most people using windows hate to buy software so they try to crack it instead, like i did. All but the shittiest of webcam softwares require you to pay for it, and as there pretty specialized software most cracks either wont work or dont exist, so get ready to pay 20-30 bucks if you really want to stream.

Your also going to need a place with some bandwidth to upload your stream to and then split it up, maybe with IPv6 we'll actually see the true power of multicasting.

Of all the software i tried out chillcam was the best. Then theres just some simple javascript (IIRC) that gets used on the webpage to allow others access. I'd also recomend actually buying this software, as its quite good.

PS: dont try to crack the demo, gets all its info from a centralized server, it also sends it any cracking attempts.
