I can appreciate most of it, but some of it is much to electronic for me. even with all the instruments.

Also, you shouldn't be calling anyone a hipster.

I have seen many a thread in which you talk about how amazing bassnecter is, or trash him and how much he sucks :lol:

And I just brought big G up as one of the more unique producers in that he incorporated a live drummer and played an instrument himself.

Big g succcks fuck Dom I hope I never hear him again. Have u ever seen grizmatik? Can't wait for eoto next week. Also it sounds like the band ur looking for is the disco biscuits but idk if your hetty enough to appreciate them. But yeh have fun stayn home from spongle. I'm telln you u should go.

ive see grizmatik, it was pretty cool, but it was RIGHT when it first became a thing and they didnt have too many collabs together, and tbh they reall still dont, unless its unreleased

i hear gramatik is kinda an asshole and shitty to work with lol

Well I was just recalling from memory, and I slept 5 hours last night :lol:. I am pretty sure I remember seeing something along those lines, but I could be thinking of another shroomerite :shrug:

I have listened to a bit of the Biscuits stuff, and heard good things about their shows. I never have listened to much of them though and I have never seen them come nearby.

When I was trying to get into electronic stuff I appreciated a bit of Big Gigantics stuff, none of their albums though.

They have some older shows up on the Archive.org that have some pretty creative fusion stuff, sometimes with a live guitarist too.

I may have seen either Griz or Gramatic at some point, but I am not sure. I know I lot of people who got into them though, including my mom who is big on the electronic stuff.

Pretty sure my mom is an Eoto fan too, and has seen them live a few times.

There is a sick bluegrass show around when Sphongle is playing aswell as Darkstar Orchestra, so I will most likely just go to one or both of those.

Nah dewd I love bisco even sober. It makes me see ton visions in my head n shit. But mostly because I've listen to them for years out of my mind on drugs. I'm seeing em at toads. I unless its super worth it i very rarely go toboston for show for like 1000 reasons. Most ppl I like play boston and newyork and sometimes Newhaven too. So unless im doing like a Boston new haven new York run I'll jus hit the NYC show. But I do go up to north Hampton for smaller shows sometimes its not that far of a ride and my sister lives in north Hampton so I Dont have to drive back after if I Dont wanna.

I bet redrocks is one of the best places to see him, besides maybe some awesome festival.

This song has what will probably my all time favorite synth work:


Its just so smooth and organic sounding, as well as intense. Such tasty organ and keys :crazy2:

yeah i hit noho when they have good shows

pearl street fucking SUCKS at getting people inside the door, they just go so slow and really dont give a fuck...ive sat in their lines for over a hour before while i miss the openers i wanted to see


boston is a really fun town tho for this scene, everyone knows eachother and we get plenty of good shows

boston > NYC (unless you prefer paying more for fucking everything)

just saying, nyc is a really shitty city and idk why anyone wants to go there

its a shithole, and everything costs money and its all super overpriced

ill literally only go to that city for shows i absolutely cannot miss, like tipper in january, but besides that, fuck that city

boston > NYC

anyone who feels differently has never been to both and is simply just a sheep

There are 3 versions of Any color you like for me, the studio version, that one from pulse, and the 1974 live 8 minute version. They each are great and pretty unique versions of the song.

I honestly prefer the two live versions :shrug:



This version is definitely my favorite, it is the most jammed out version and has the best guitar and synth out of them IMO.

Such a sweet guitar solo, I prefer the effects David uses live over the studio. The album version has some interesting guitar phaser stuff, but live it is more "evolved" :lol:

And floyd were pretty great at evolving their songs over time. Look at The Amazing Pudding and Atom Heart Mother for example

Theres like decades of live Floyd dewd  that's lit the only song I like the album version the best its perfect no need go anywhere else.

That cus your a bass freak. Loud electronic music does not record well.

Though now a days people can record so well you wouldnt be able to tell live from studio when done right.

Many groups are simply live bands and so recordings are a good way to capture some of that amazing live energy.

Yeah with some bands like Floyd pretty much any older recording is a bootleg, thankfully people remaster them and eventually some of them get mined out as the gems they are.

I have 2 floyd bootlegs on vinyl and they both sound great, one if from 69 the other is 74.

It is definitely a matter of taste though too. I don't mind lesser quality if it is some really unique creative stuff worth listening too.

Then there's live DVD's and stuff, which are usually gold, though those are all more recent generally.
