Having a dog has its advantages

I have a baby yorkshire terrier as many as you may know but not all of you know that it lives in my restroom. You may be thinking "Spud, why are you telling us where your dog lives?". I assure you I have a reason. My reason is this: How many times have you went to the restroom late at night to tired/disoriented to work the toilet/light switch? You see, my puppy isn't potty trained yet so he normally pisses all over the floor in the restroom (it can make using the restroom at night similar to navigating your way through a mine field). What I realized I can do is get to the door of the restroom (we have a little fence thing set up so the dog doesn't get out) and piss freely all over the floor and just blame it on the dog. This only works if you don't piss godly amounts of urine because after all, it is just a puppy. I dogs.

1. My mom usually cleans the mess. 2. If I pee on the puppy it serves him right. You have no clue how many times I've stepped in his urine and shit while attempting to navigate through my restroom.

first of all, that's nasty to just let a dog piss and shit in the floor.
second of all, it's cruel to leave it in a small area to lay in it's own waste.

Ever heard of training? Worked for my dogs. By the way, if you are so lazy you would piss on the floor, I feel sorry for any future live-in lovers you may have(but not for long), here's another little tip: Try pissing BEFORE you go to bed, and also avoid liquids.

Some people should not be allowed to keep animals. A dog that lives in the toilet is just plan wrong on many levels to me. But i suppose its no worse than "crateing" a dog, which is a common american practise I hear. I always find it strange the way that other cultures keep there pets. Toilet training is a simple thing to teach a dog, even a rat dog like a yorkie.

I just got a lab/rottweiler mix a few months ago. Someone in the city threw him out of a car window in the middle of the road and my brother scooped him up. He was like a month or two old. He's now six months, just got neutered, and is fully potty trained, can sit, give high-fives, heels, lies down, and he's almost able to speak on command. Training a dog is not hard. If you think it is, you shouldn't own one, because you're going to end up treating it like shit when it "disobeys" you.

Its a tiny dog, its not like he is keeping a huskie penned in his bathroom. His puppy is like 10 inches long... so the bathroom is prolly like a kingdom to it.
And you guys only wish that YOU had the freedom to pee wherever you wanted and not get yelled at.

Then its usually all laughs and good times from there.

Would you keep your 5-month old baby in the bathroom? After the puppy has been separated from its mother, you're his family. Keeping him in the bathrooms because he's not toilet trained yet it plain wrong and damaging to the puppy.

interesting how ppl are giving you slack spud for keeping your dog in the bathroom...when we first got our chihuahua puppy we had kept him in the bathroom (since the floors were linoleum) due to his leakage and poo poo problem...it's not like we locked the puppy in there, he had an area where he slept which consisted of a hot water bottle blankets and pillows, an area where he was supposed to go pee and caca in but obviously he couldn't help himself as well as a fence so he couldn't come out of hte bathroom...but eventually he learned how to jump over it
