I'm getting real tired of the diminishing quality of file sharing networks these days.

Kazaa sucks. Soulseek sucks. Earth Station REALLY sucks. And Hotline is almost totally dead.

WTF???

I'm tired of sharing a bunch of quality shit and then getting my downloads cut off by someone who doesnt want to share. I'm tired of downloading movies that have been renamed. I'm tired of downloading ISO's with bad CRCs and corrupted CAB files. But most of all I'm tired of all this shit being the rule rather than the exception (like it used to be)

Does anyone else have that problem where stuff comes up in Kazaa, but then when you try to dl it says "more sources"? WTF?? Why does it come up in a search if no one is currently hosting it? And how come every time I try to D/L a game these days its fucking bunk? The last working game I successfully got off Kazaa was Vice City. I've been lookin for HomeWorld2 and Max Payne2 for like a month- gotten several bunk ISOs that looked real (right size, file extensions, all that)

And to top it all off, I'm a fuckin Kazaa Kommunist! I share gigs of music, porn, movies, games and software ALL DAY- but when I try to d/l something its either bunk or the D/l cuts off halfway through and I never find a new source. WTF???

Anyway, I hear people on here talking about free games and stuff. Where the hell is that coming from? All I see is bunk shit, and even the stuff that looks real turns out to be bunk after I spend 12 hours d/ling it. Is there some new network all the cool people went to and I'm just not aware of it?

Whatever man, kazaa is the shit, I just use it to get music and porn and I have no problems, if you want games you are going to HAVE to use mirc because kazaa and others like it do not have quality game files, fuck ripped games, on mirc you can download ISO files of the actual game discs and then burn them onto a cd just like you had bought the game, I love mirc! :grin:

yeah, kazaa is still OK for music (although I do get a lot of "more sources needed" BS even when trying to d/l real mainstream shit)

but I used to have no problems finding at least one good ISO, BIN, or NRG of most games buried in all the crap and ripoffs. If I couldn't find it on Kazaa, I'd go to Hotline- but last time I checked Hotline there were like half the servers there usually are, and they are increasingly becoming pay-only servers.

So mIRC has ISO's, you say? How would I go about finding them? Do I have to trade (I dont mind if I do)? Seriously, I've never tried mIRC for games even though many people have told me its a good resource. So break it down for me, man! I got lotsa shit to offer!

I use BitTorrent... It's a little harder to find what you are looking for but it's way better in quality than kazaa

where do you find listings for the .torrent files?

I used BT when it first came out, but after all the web page directories went down, the shit was useless. It seems like the .toorent directories are all like secret clubs that I cant get into or something.

BTW, just because a game is in ISO format does NOT mean it is the same as a store-bought copy. Anyone can make their own ISO's with Nero or any other peice of burning software. Often times you can't copy or make an ISO from a store bought game disc unless you hack it.

I been pirating games since piracy was all Web and FTP-based, and I have gotten MANY ISO's that were bunk. I've also gotten ISO's that were clearly hacked (ie- the .exe crack was on the disc- obviously not put there by the game's maker) but worked fine.

I just search some artist, click on every song that interests me, and leave it. After 10 mins I search for more and again and again ( this way I try do download everything from this artist ). Then after like 5 hours ( I use Download accelerator its good and cycles your downloads searching automatically for more sources - comes with Kazaa Lite. Its the best Kazaa !!! THE BEST ! www.kazaalite.tk ) see what downloads have 0 kb downloaded ( the download have never ever started ). I cancel those and delete them. Then I just leave the rest out there as they are more likely to be downloaded. And again and again. Peace

For BitTorrent a good site is suprnova.org. Lots of apps, games, tv shows, and movies there.

well man, im SURPRISED you got vice city on kazaa
i searched for like a yr and never got a working copy

i finally got it on suprnova, though it was hard to pirate and it wouldnt let me play w/o JUST THE CRACKED EXE burned on a cd..
so lame

and the next day i got it on cd anyways

seriously man, bittorrent.. its not perfect but its good

Soulseek is more of a music sharing, than file sharing. Although sometimes you can find apps/movies/pics and shit on there, it's better suited for downloading music.
Might wanna try DC++.

bt is the shit. I also just use www.suprnova.org. the only problem is you start seeing a lot of shit you didnt originally want but now that you see it you want it so you dl mass amounts of un needed crap.

I remember back when you could download warez off web pages (before all that "Top Warez Sites" BS)

then came anonymous FTPs, then napster, then Kazaa.

sometimes I lose track of where all tha filez are at- But its nice to know I have such a great community to ask for an update!

Yea, real men use mirc lol. As for lots of bunk files there is a cache of people whose sole job is uploading bunk shit onto all the major file sharing networks. saw it on some tlc or discovery show. Some people were born just to be straight up assholes.

you just check suprnova for cool stuff rather than when you want something in particular i mean..
the celebrity deathmatch game? i wouldve never thought of looking for that but if its right there to dl id check it out ;x
