Help - in terrible pain

I don't know what to do. I can't move. I feel like a fucking cripple. I was practically in tears while sitting in my class because my back hurt so bad. I've never had pain like this before, I've had a bad back but after yesturday's accupuncture treatment, I feel like if I stand up I'm going to collapse. I had to come home early. I called the doctor I went to yesturday and they prescribed me medication for the pain...

well i just got home and my mom picked it up for me and first off, it's called Bextra... it's fucking Arthritis medication. I DONT HAVE JOINT PAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! Second, I have to be sitting up or standing up for 30 min after taking the medication...

it's more painful to take this useless medication than it is to take nothing and lay down.

i can't take it - i'm in tears b/c of the pain. i have nothing to ease it.

I agree with the Texan...Del, my dad is a Chiropractor, and contrary to what you have heard, going to a chiropractor does not make you dependant on them. You really have nothing to be afraid of...besides it's a helluva alot better option than surgery.

do they know why your back hurts??

like my mom *always* had really bad back pain and finally they discovered her ovaries were always swollen and pushing against her lower back discs.

she had a hestorectonmy and hasn't had any back pain since.

if it's in your lower back i recommend you have a OB/GYN check you out.

Dell I had bad back pain ever since i was a kid and i used to sit on the floor because the couch was so uncomfortable...I played all kinds of sports which just made it worse
I went to a shitload of doctors and most wanted me to go under the knife, I finially went to a chiro back in 1990 an after about two weeks my back was back  :smile:...I still go see a chiropractor every now and then but my quality of life has been so much better because i can do pretty much anything without any pain at all...
I didnt say anything yesterday because i really dont know much about the whole needle sticking thing but i do know if you are in pain then Chiropractors are the very best alternative :thumbup:

I used to go to the Chiropractor for my back pain when it got bad...it did the trick..the problem was I never had time to go...he suggested I an inversion table. I've had it 2 years and use it 2-3 times a week..its amazing!

I have a decent little case of scoliosis and I go to the Chiro every 6 months or so...

He does wonders for me...

Of course at this point I hate to give you anymore advice... seeing as how your acupuncture experience didn't go so well... :frown:

call the doctor back and tell him you do not have arthritis and that the medication did not help at all. They'll probbaly give you some hydrocodone or some shit.

i've had to do that a couple times. Call the doctor back and talk to him and if he precribes you something else he can just call it in to your pharmacy and you can just go pick it up,fuck making a new appointment,besides you need that shit ASAP and this is way quicker then going back to see the doctor

I agree with the gravity inversion machine, I use mine all the time, and its fun to smoke on too. It also helps your eyesight.

Acupuncture isn't really the sort of thing to heal your spine. It can help with the pain temporarily.. go to the Chiropractor.
