zodiac tattoo

ok so this really has nothing to do with shrooms but i figured this was a good place to get feedback, so here goes.
I've been thinking alot about tattoos lately, and I have decided that I will be getting shrooms on my lower middle back, and perhaps a 50's style pinup girl on my shoulderblade or something, and i was thinking about the zodiac, and how my sign is cancer, and that the symbol for it is sometimes 69 :laugh:, so i wanted to design a tattoo with that symbol, to put around my belly button, and this is what I came up with.



obviously its a very rough draft, but I would just get the tattooist to clean it up, but in general, do you guys think it would be okay?

I'm a leo and I have a tattoo on my back that is a Leo sign in the middle of a sun surrounded with tribal. oh and the tribal and leo sign are done in a so they look like weathered stone.

I wish i had a decent pic of it

hell yeah, i want to incorporate my zodiac onto me too...i'm an aquarius and i want to put a little spin on the symbol, but it's kinda hard because it's such a simple design..

Ive been thinking about a zodiac tatto as well, but a water carrying virgin girl, just doesnt seem cool :tongue:
I'm a virgo btw, and cooler looking motifs for virgo lol?

Seems a little bit too simple to me, but that's totally a matter of taste. Plus, it would leave plenty of room for alterations in the future if you'd like to expand it.

id be careful about the mushroom and pinup girl tattoo. i actually am going to get my first in 5 days. woohoo...

i originally wanted a mushroom but every single mushroom tattoo i've seen looked ridiculous. it was either WAY too cartoony and tacky or it was too realistic and boring.

my ex is going the say day i am to get his sleeve done - he's getting a while 50's pinup girl motif... however i think it's ridiculous.  it's a little silly looking - i dunno.

oh well - live and let live. :smile:

I don't really like all these "new school" tattoos that are actually old school as hell. Big red hearts and so on, you know what I'm talking about. Retro shouldn't be permanent for fucks sake.

so, you don't like classic old school flash ?? I am much happier to see this gaining more popularity as opposed to the damn tribal kick that has been the dredge of tattoo society for the past several years. Just my opinion, no offense to all the tribal tat totin' individuals who will be reading this  :grin:

Yeah they're a bit old. I do dig my tribal dragons though, but those are actual motives as opposed to just patterns.

Got a big tribal band around my right upper arm. I dig it, but I'm not getting any more tribals even if I love blackwork.

i think tribal is great - it's simple. but tattoos shouldn't be a trendy thing - it's there for life! im getting mine - it's a Brian Froud fairy... nothing trendy... i know other people have it but i really love it so whatever. :smile:
