If you had to get a tattoo this second...

I see a lot of kids in college with random tattoos. Like some shit in chinese or an OM without really a thought

Which got me thinking...
Lets say oprah busted through the door of the room you are in with a shotgun. She holds it to your head and says you have to get a tattoo. It has to be above the waist and at least the size of your hand. If you don't, she will kill you

Chose wisely...

Note: The tattoo in the picture isn't my actual tattoo, but my tattoo was basically modeled off of that one. Mine is nearly exactly the same, only my artist wasn't quite as skilled, so the detail is quite as fine and precise, that said I feel he did a pretty fucking good job considering how detailed of a tattoo it is.

So considering I was put completely on the spot and beforehand had not really thought about what kind of tat I might get, I think it was a decent first tattoo. Not perfect, but it's pretty tight. I think I'll probably have it touched up and altered a bit in the future to make it pop more, possible add some trippy mayan-esque symbols or some crazy psychedelic fractal type shit to border it. :shrug:


Like the detail, needs touching up though doesn't look like you went back to do that.

I'd probably get something like a Buddhist figure seated on a lotus, like Avalokiteshvara, or Maitreya (who is my namesake on here, though my username uses the Pali spelling), or of course the Buddha. Maybe some Sanskrit text to go along with it, like a quote from the Lotus Sutra. A half naked Green Tara would be rad too, maybe have her be surrounded by vines and flowers.
