Radiohead is very cool my friend, very, very cool.

Fitter, happier, more productive, comfortable, not drinking too much, regular exercise at the gym (3 days a week), getting on better with your associate employee contemporaries, at ease, eating well (no more microwave dinners and saturated fats), a patient better driver, a safer car (baby smiling in back seat), sleeping well (no bad dreams), no paranoia, careful to all animals (never washing spiders down the plughole), keep in contact with old friends (enjoy a drink now and then), will frequently check credit at (moral) bank (hole in the wall), favors for favors, fond but not in love, charity standing orders, on Sundays ring road supermarket (no killing moths or putting boiling water on the ants), car wash (also on Sundays), no longer afraid of the dark or midday shadows nothing so ridiculously teenage and desperate, nothing so childish - at a better pace, slower and more calculated, no chance of escape, now self-employed, concerned (but powerless), an empowered and informed member of society (pragmatism not idealism), will not cry in public, less chance of illness, tires that grip in the wet (shot of baby strapped in back seat), a good memory, still cries at a good film, still kisses with saliva, no longer empty and frantic like a cat tied to a stick, that's driven into frozen winter shit (the ability to laugh at weakness), calm, fitter, healthier and more productive a pig in a cage on antibiotics.

Did you know that for that song, they took an old computer (Amiga I think?) and just programmed it to spit out random phrases.
Radiohead is my favorite band

Radiohead is my favorite band too. I think I've listened to the song 'Lucky' off of ok computer more than anyone on the planet. Is it me or does Thom Yorke seem like he's just a little bit mentally ill?

Wow man!
Lucky is my alltime favorite track of theirs! I'm not sure if you've listened to it more than I have
Thom is a nutty guy. I think he's VERY socially shy. I even saw an interview with him once where he made the interviewer sit with her back to him the whole time, so that she couldn't look at him. You can tell he's an extremely private guy.
Anyone like "Steet Spirit (fade out...)"????
It's another one of my favorite songs. Very chilling, though. Thom once said the song is about looking the Devil in the eyes and knowing he's going to get the last laugh. He said watching his fans, smiling and waving as he plays the song (because, he thinks, maybe they don't really understand it), is like taking your pet dog to the vet to get put down, and having it wag its tail on the way there. *shudders*

I'd see them live, but they only do wack stadium venues in the states. I always see video from the net of them in little Euro venues. THAT'S the way to go. I can't stand listening to music in a herd, as it destroys the entire purpose. Music just isn't always a group activity for me.

jumped into the river black eyed angels swam with me a room full of stars and astral cars and all the figures i used to see all my lovers were there with me all my pasts and futures and we all went to heaven in a little row boat there was nothing to fear, nothing to doubt
(Radiohead - Pyramind song)

I never really liked them...
then I heard Kid A
that album moves me.
I don't like any of their other stuff, but I'm committed to eating a large amount of psychedelics and chaining myself to my bed and listening to that record at full volume.
everything in it's right place.

Radiohead is the greatest live act I've ever seen, too.
I went to see them at Molson Park in Barrie a couple years back. Amazing.

Radiohead is okay, but I don't get what everyone else is talking about when they're called "genius" and all that rot. Some of the later stuff, I can't stand. It's so mellow and drawn out it makes me want to kill myself. But I mean, shit, if you can find enjoyment in it, then go for it. Maybe I just need to take some shrooms and then listen.
It's like Tool. You run into people who say "oh, man, tool is a spiritual experience'

You haven't tripped to it? I don't like it when people force their music on me, but if your open to the idea, I would suggest you dose some mushies or some cid and listen to Lateralus and Kid A.
I wouldn't call it spiritual but I would say that both of those bands are VERY high on my list of favs.
Then again though, to each his own...

Yeah, listening to Kid A on a good dose of shrooms always takes me for a wild ride! Last time I got lost somewhere around track 5. That's the farthest I've made it coherently
Track 8 (Idioteque) is my favorite from Kid A...but you really have to listen to the album as a whole start to finish to appreciate it. It's a concept album.
