album covers in folders of win xp

i have a little question... i got win xp... and well i have all my mp3s neatly organized in genres, artists and then albums... well about 2 days ago there started to appear the cover images in some of the album folders... so now the folder displays the cover... the image files are contained in the folder, but are hidden and count as a system file... my question is: where do this images come from, and how do i deactivate this... or better yet, how do i activate it for the rest of the folders?

I noticed this too, just leave it be man.
You can right click and change the folder options, but whats it hurting? Or make them small icons.

it doesnt bother me... all i want to know is how i can get all the other album folders to automatically display the cover without having to search for the picture in the web and add it manually...

If you play them using windows media player, while connected to the net, it finds and installs the covers for you. You can disable it, but i quite like it :]

I'm guessing some of the files have the CDDB info embedded into them and it automaticly accesses the CD info and XP grabs a nice little CD cover for your icon
if not I dunno, the boogieman?

My friend suggested this to me yesterday also. She said maybe windows media player gets the picture when it updates the album info for the songs you play.

well its not that bad... it kinda grows on you with time... i didnt even think about d/l-ing it first, but i've been hearing it in my friends car all the time and it gets better when you listen to it more... so we'll see...
the new guitarrist is... well.... he's just meh... doesnt even come close to wes borland creatively speaking... its a whole new band since wes is gone... its a different style even... more metalish, not so groovy... check it out youll see what i mean... wes borland = k3y
