Depends who they hire.
I am generally opposed to firing a coach that wins 4 divisional titles in a row, fresh off a 12 win season.
Elway knows his shit though. Im not going to doubt the greatest player in Broncos history.

Idk, I was pretty shocked when I saw the headline. I mean, over the past 2 years the guy gets your team to a superbowl and then to a divisonal playoff game...and you fire him?

Seems rough, but maybe there was some inner turmoil.

Elway must have given him an ultimatum. He kinda sold the farm on this year.

The broncos had arguably the best roster this year and went one and done. I can kinda understand it.

It's the right move because Denver is in a rebuild mode now. They have a few pieces, but need to go in a fresh new direction.

The team looked really weak vs The Colts, they shied away from contact on the offensive side to an embarrassing degree. It is very clear Elway wants a tougher team and a new philosophy. Hopefully they draft well and get a coach with a good plan.

Manning will be gone soon, too. I'd say he has 2 seasons left at best. He's getting old and not making it happen like he used to, and he knows it.

Fox and Elway parted ways because they disagreed on the future direction of the team and Elway wants Manning to return, presumably Fox did not.

Whoever thinks Manning should retire or the broncos should get rid of him is really just being a prisoner of the moment, IMHO.

Mannings work ethic is top of the line and when he returns next season, HEALTHY, he will be a wrecking ball again. Lets not forget that this year, during the first 8 weeks or so of the season he was playing THE HIGHEST LEVEL of ANY QB I have ever seen, and many others have seen. Even skip bayless said it.

Manning isn't done and he has 2-3 years left.
