Zombi3 I have a hard time believing you honestly think that punk is a more interpersonal genre than ska. THAT would be ignorant. Ska is soul, punk is based off of rebellious noise generated for angsty teenagers. Sorry but it's true. I'm sure there are deep songs or whatever, but most of it is about feeling angry and getting wasted, or talking about weird shit in the hopes of laughs or rustling jimmies.

This particular song is close to my heart.

My mom was diagnosed malignant malinoma when I was 12.

She used to wonder the halls late at night and I sometimes would catch her peering in the door watching us (4 kids).

One time she promised me a foot race and the next day she was too sick to leave the bed, nah she was fine it was just the flu she said.

She died a few days later and we never had that foot race.

My mom used to always tell me I have a lot to do and I have a lot to be.

And I know in the end I will see her there

My mother developed melanoma 8 years ago so I can relate just a tiny bit.
After about a year and a half of constant facial chemical peels, it went away and I guess she just got very lucky.

I never seen a family member I'm so close to suffer so much before then.
It's just a shit situation any way you put it.

I promise you one day you'll have that foot race with your mom brother.

Thanks brother. That streetlight song always felt so creepy to me and made me feel like i really one day again see my mom again because did those things in the lyrics...

It wasnt easy watching her go. It progressed from a mole on her ear to her brain, Then spread to her lungs, and kidney. In really large number...

From the time the docotors noticed what it was they pretty much looked in shock. My mom died in less than a year leaving 4 kids, 4 was the youngest and 14 was the oldest.

Life gets real sometimes man.


The only thing that makes me smile is my mom was an accomplished pianist and holds many awards nd I own 100's of hours of cut takes in which 'i hear my moms voice and her angelic playing. She taught piano but her love was pipe organs.
