mushroom tattoo

okay, i have thought about it for awhile and I have decided that I want to get a tattoo of mushrooms. i want it in the middle of my lower back, but the problem is I cant think of a design.
Im not really that artistic see, and I wouldnt be able to come up with an original that looks half decent. I'm kinda looking for maybe a couple mushrooms clustered together on a patch of grass or something, with some wacky colors and crap. do you guys know of any sites where i can look at drawings of mushrooms for ideas, or if you have ideas of your own? thanks

if you want, i'll design you one. check out my sig line, thats a good indication of my style, though I can't promise that i'll be able to make something that good again.

Really though if you come across anything that incorporates mushrooms and the ocean, post it up, I've been thinking of getting a tatoo like that too

I do psychedelic artwork and have been planning a mushroom tattoo of my own, I can post a couple designs up for you if you like:) In fact, you've inspired me. I'm gonna get my lazy ass off the computer and start drawing.

I do mainly black pen drawings, but you could add colours in yourself or ask your tattoo artist to help you out.

Most tattoo artists are artists, part of their job is to design the tattoo you want. It can take awhile, but never settle for anything less than exactly perfect, Its there job, go talk to a good tattoo artist and im sure you can come up with exactly what you want. Check out a few..

I would pass on a red and white shromm tattoo,
to cartoony for me.
Maybe 3 or 4 shrooms growing, diff sizes. 1 or 2
with broken veils, some natural things in the foreground
and background.

I'm supposed to get a scanner from my friend next time I see him, so I'll try and make that soon and then put some stuff up.

I started drawing some shrooms last night (some cubes to be exact) and that part is ok but i kinda fucked up the other corner of the page. oi. thats the problem with drawing in pen, no eraser.

go to a tattoo parlor. You don't have to get one right then, but there's always a ton of stuff on the walls, or in books. You can definitely get good ideas there.

and its always a good idea to give em a lil "starter-tip" just to make yourself stick out in their mind, and they'll put a lil "special" effort into you :grin:
and ALWAYS tip the tattooist well, if you plan on coming back

Yes. Fully.
Try a parlor where people you know have gotten tattooed. Look at their tattoos, how well blended the paint is, how sharp the edges are and so on.

I got my first two from a guy I know that's constantly in European tattoo mags, and winning contests and so on. Those tatts are fucking perfect... But my latest one is not so sharp-edged and so on. I'm going to make a trip to the southern parts to see the good artist, so he can refill and sharpen it up.

I have a few pacific northwest native american tattoos. I would love to get the tribal mushroom tattooed on the inside of my arm. With a same style pot leaf on the other arm. That would be awsome and painful.
