Pics will not be available for awhile...at least until the current flush matures. I know w/out a pic it's all guesswork...

I guess my main question is does the Teacher have a pronounced nipple? Even evident at maturity sometimes?

Veil reamains attached to the stem, not the cap. It definiteley isn't malabar.

Well do they look like this???? I don't think that they are red really, sometimes on the pins they are a dark red until they get so far and then gradually the color seems to stretch out and turn golden. sort of like this

it seems like cambodians tended to have more a of a nipple sometimes but it is indeed to tell without a picture

I think I found it, check it out:

Golden Teacher: large, meaty fruits that stain dark blue. Very light red cap, with no spotting, persistant veil and very white stem. Cap also quickly umbonate on maturity.

found here:http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=Growlog&Number=574798&Forum=All_Forums&Words=golden%20teacher%20nipple&Match=And&Searchpage=0&Limit=50&Old=allposts&Main=574604&Search=true#Post574798

The key words here are, "persistant veil and very white stem. Cap also quickly umbonate on maturity."

The cap of the strain in question is shaped umbonate or conical tapering to a point or nipple at it's zenith. This was throwing me off since I never saw this in any description of GT until this one above.
