you didn't address my post. YES, he's an idiot. he was also deranged. the cops still could have hanged back and told him to drop the knife, say, 30 feet away... or 40.  :shrug2: and called for back up.

lets make this clear though, i'm also saying, IF that was the case and he still came at them and didn't stop, i would have to agree with you, there.

powell did it right after the michael brown shooting which was just unwise, and some argue he did it BECAUSE of the michael brown shooting. Maybe powell thought to himself, ok these guys wont shoot me because of all the riots going on after the michael brown shooting, so he was screaming SHOOT ME, and the cops were thinking, "U think Im fucking scared to shoot? ill show ur ass"    and they gave him like 1 second to drop the weapon, he didnt, so he got shot to death. they did give him a order to take his hands out of his pockets right away, most normal people would have done it at that point, but he keep walking around.

no he didnt actually CHARGE them, but he was still walking towards them. so technically its by the book shooting, although maybe they shooted a little early. now powell dead, and he didnt prove his point.

Well atleast they dont target random civilians and most of the kidnappings happen to people who are either tied to or related to someone who is tied to the drug world. Either way ive barely ever heard of mexicans beating up random old people or kids like blacks do. Thats the difference blacks dnt keep their troubles with people who are at their level of stupidity they like to act violently towards hardworking people who work to pay for their housing and food. And for you to say that mexicans torture their own is so retarded because if you look at other parts fof the world people get tortured over stealing a fucking apple lol. You should do research man. Just because you see a video of a mexican cartel beheading people you shouldnt assume the people getting tortured are innocent. Killing two birds with one stone is obviously the better way no? So why would they kill some random person over killing somebody who fucked up and sending a message?

why should they. it's apparent that they gave him what he wanted, not like
they had to chase him down, he robbed the store, stood outside with his
knife in hand and waited for the cops. he wanted to die

LOL, i didn't know that. :durrhurr: i thought he was just reported to have a knife and that's it. still, ok, i'll bite. why should they? because they can. you don't have to be a lazy cop to be a good cop. coffee and donuts need to have some kind of accountability, and this would be a good example of that. stay back, try and control the situation before lethal force, then if they're pushed, WHEN they are being REASONABLE, then their actions are more accounted for. just going right up to a suspect and assuming if he doesn't immediately drop down, with their hands behind their head they should be killed, is NOT reasonable. no matter what your fucking job is.

their job isn't kill a suspect. their job isn't to prevent from getting scratched because their family men (why take a dangerous job if you don't expect to get a scratch), their job is to help the public. the suspect is ALSO the public.

just because they didnt do it your way doesnt mean they arent competent or
trained, the fucker came at them with a knife, I'm sure you'd love to see
some dead cops but as I see it, we all have a right to life until our
actions threaten the lives and safety of others. on this forum the
argument is 'cops are bad, they killed someone, why didnt they just arrest
him", "cops are bad, they beat someone they were trying to arrest because
he woudlnt stop resisting, why didnt they tase him", "cops are bad, they
killed a guy with a taser, why didnt they do X"

fuck the stupid people, if they want to fight the cops, let them have what
the cops give back. hell, last night I watched the rodney king beating
again, guess what, he was another dumbass, it starts with a cop about to
bash his skull, another cop stopped it, then king decided he was getting
up instead of allowing them to cuff him, that's when the beating started,
when king decided to lay face down the beating stopped until the point he
kicked a cop, then it started again until he was compliant. the cops arent
pro wrestlers, they arent kung fu masters, their job isnt to grapple a
dumbass into submission, they arent psychiatrists so why should they have
to talk someone into putting down a knife when they guy lunges at them to
attack, why take the 5 seconds to holster a gun and draw a taser when that
5 seconds can mean their life

fuck the stupid, violent thugs. weed them out if that's their choice but
if you believe there's a better way, join the PD and show them

like i said, they aren't completely incompetent. maybe i could show them... i could use my vehicle to instead of approaching right up along side of a dangerous character, to approach a maximum distance that would allow for communication and surrender of the character, with using my gun, and words, and THEN decide more readily whether the use of force was my only option, and give the character more room to think of the consequences of his actions. then if he were to do what he did, the outcome would be the same, only as cops, i wouldn't look so trigger happy and of ill-regard for BOTH the lives of the cops AND the character.

see, it's safer for BOTH parties, so your "i know you wanna see cops die" argument is bullshit, because in my scenario the cops are given more room to think as well. plus, it's just asinine to think that because i don't share your brilliant deductive reasoning (which is just proven time and time again to be reductive at best) that i must "want cops dead". :rolleyes:

Just the other night i recorded some black girl SCREAMING at the top of her lungs over some stupid text she got. The cops were called and she stopped.
