I seem to get faster cultivation when I don't grind it too fine. It seems to create more air pockets. When I am done I like to still see some half grains of rice.

I'm with the bomb on this one. My buddy did the same thing and had rather fast col. of his jars.

That's what my dogs is like bomb. Powder and half rice pieces.

Hey, my dog used this and some fine vermiculite, for PF Tek maximum bloom formula.

I then steam boiled in a pot on stove top for an hour. Though it seems now that the jars are a little dry. Though I think maybee there is water but its all inside the rice and vermiculite.

I dont know, any feedback?

If you have your own spore prints (from previous growing or whatever) I like to keep my substrate dryer than normal and inject like 1cc in each hole for 4cc's each cake. I also don't just leave the needle still as I am injecting the solution, I move it all around the outside of the jar so all four points of injection almost touch. This results in very fast colinization but with all the extra water you need to start kind of dry.

Everywhere I have read "grind it in a coffee grinder" my question is, don't they get mad when they see someone putting brown rice in their coffe grinders? Oh yeah one more thing, when I went to the health food store they had 3 or 4 different kinds of brown rice, which kind is the best? I can't remember the kinds or else I would list them
