Do you believe in psychics?

I'm watching the Long Island medium and I want to believe this stuff is true but I can't decide. I live pretty close to her in real life and I know people who have had "sessions" with her and she's just as amazing in real life apparently.

What do you guys think? Do you believe in ghosts and the spiritual realm stuff?

energy healing, seeing auras, astrology, fortune telling and taro cards etc... :rolleyes:

they are things of fantasy.

I'm not saying people don't see ghosts, but they're hallucinating if they do.

I feel that way as well but I have heard stories about her doing a private reading once and the girl barely opened her mouth and Teresa knew everything about her sister that passed and even that she was wearing her boots.

I feel like maybe i saw one? But who really knows kinda thing.

As far as psychics and people reading tarot cards, it's just a bunch of bull...

I'll take my curandero with some nice ayahuasca brew any day. They believe in the medicine, not themselves are healing you or giving you the visions.

My mother in law is actually on her way to Singapore for some guru for the "blood moon" idk wtf ever, shes...in her own world. Shes a spiritual holistic adviser, Shes whack sometimes but shes sweet.

I know the girl in real life I went to school with her and were friends. I always believed it but its hard to believe something that has no evidence, but I like to believe in the spiritual side. I just like to eat other people's opinions on it, I personally believe it's an interesting topic.

Just because you knew her in real life has no bearing on the accuracy of the information.  People embellish.

I'm sure she's a nice person but if she's the kind that visits psychics I already have a few judgements I would make about her intelligence and trustworthiness in recounting such a tale.

This is the way I see it. You can believe in a spiritual aspect to reality without being sold on fabricated nonsense

I'm on the fence. My wife is big into the spirituality and psychics and mediums.
Shes had a few readings and apparently sees and senses spirits.

My personal opinion is that people that visit psychics are already highly suggestible. They hear what they want to hear and drop hints in their body language and verbal responses that the psychics can build off of.

My big annoyance is that my wife would take the advice of a intuitive healer than a medical doctor.

i don't like to fight with her so I let her have her opinion. if it is a more serious matter, I'm going to a god damn doctor thank you.

I don't believe in conscious psychic ability but I do believe we have traits that either aren't realized or suppressed. It sounds retarded and I wouldn't believe it if I heard it and hadn't experienced it, but when I was younger I used to have dreams that would happen moment for moment in real life. No coincidence. Some were major world events as much as ones in my own life. Things I could have no objective control over.

Iol ok because someone believes in a spiritual afterlife makes them stupid. I'd rather live with a curious open mind than with a closed one. I don't live my life by asking for spiritual guidance by god or make every decision based on a sign I believe was given to me by a ghost but when I think about my grandpa I like to believe he's enjoying a peaceful painless afterlife and still by my side when I need him. So what if its not true, there's no evidence it is or isn't. So believing either side of the argument doesn't make you smarter or stupider, it's when you project your opinions about what you believe and "how right you are" onto someone else that shows really how intelligent you are.

There are even things science can't explain and even if it can unless you're the smartest person in the world you can't be sure. I could be Truman from the Truman show for all I know, everyone in my life could be an actor and I'm being filmed in secrecy for entertainment. Or I could be a project, a test subject to be studied on how humans react in certain situations. It's like that philosophical a quote, "I think therefore I am." I only know that I exist, but what about everything and everyone else? Can I really believe that we are alone in the universe because that's what I am told by people who are "smarter" than me? It's the perfect cover up, aliens could rule the world and we would never know.

Call it a crazy thought but unless you're apart of that topic secret mission to fool the world you'd never know. I like to question everything.
