Tattoos?

They're like a popular thing 'round where I'm from, I don't get it personally. I mean, I think if anyone wants to get a tattoo they should probably wait until they're at least 24 so they're not like "why do I have this shit on me" once they get old.

The other night at a bonfire there was some like 19 year old dude that had a bunch of drug molecules all over his arms. I thought it was somewhat ridiculous, and sort of figured that some day down the line he would say to himself "Maybe I shouldn't of gotten a bunch of hallucinogen tattoos all over my arm"

Or, maybe not. Maybe he would spend the rest of his time on earth as a proud psychedelic enthusiast, and would live out that tattoo without the slightest hint of remorse 'til the end of his days. Who would I be to judge?

I can understand the ideology of like body art, but from what I've witnessed first-hand it seems more often than not the thought processes that go behind getting them - at least with the college age group - is usually something along the lines of "well everybody is doing this and I might as well do it to because it's just the thing to do and I do what's done and that's how it happens"

Anyways, I have no tattoos of my own. Can't see myself getting any.

I'm not prejudice against people that have tattoos as a whole, and I don't doubt that there can be some really cool ones people get. Perhaps I'm just a smidge overly-critical in general

Do you have any? What is your opinion on all related matters?

I will end up getting some mycology tattoos at some point. It is the only thing I have stuck with long enough for it to be a part of me.

Probably get a shroomery tat too, same reason. I've had that spore print on my mind for a while, but I don't like the thought of it fading and looking like a butt hole.

i've always been the same way.  I have one of my own.. but I don't really understand the huge hype about it either.  I mean.. it's cool and all, I love mine but either way.. it wouldn't have metered if I got it or not to me.  I do love the fact that their an ancient tradition though.

Man do I love that pain that comes with it though mmmmm  planning on more.. whenever life wants me to get em I guess..

I've seen some cool ones but not a fan in general. It seems that people still get them because they like how it looks but that's about as much thought that goes into it. If I so get one I would get an entire back piece which would be like a scenery. But I would go to a very well known artist. But that would cost thousands of dollars and I just don't really see the point. More disadvantages than advantages imo. I'm fine with them but I don't see myself getting one.

My pet peeve is people who tell me my tattoo's should have meaning or a story behind it. Well fuck nothing really happened in my life, and if anyone in my family passes away, it's not in my list of "things to tatt on my body" to get an "RIP *insert person here*" tatt.

My interests are music, psychedelic stuff, skulls, and flowers, and by god that is what I'm getting on me, even if I somehow catch alzheimers and say

I'm 20 now and I have two tattoos, A tribal and a mandala. I do kind of regret the tribal because it's unoriginal and like a third of the american population has one, but at the same time I still think it looks bad ass. I do regret the artist I went to for it though.
