NY Area shroomerites!?!

Hey guys!
Me and my Lady are going to be flying out to EDC NY tomorrow and will be in the area for three days.
We are wanting to do stuff besides just chain smoking weed in our hotel room.
What are some must see attractions that someone living outside of NY would never think about?

Dude, the must-see attraction is NY itself. That place is such a...place. Just go wander around!

honestly edc ny is weaksauce

not trying to talk shit, i know its probly cuz of bassnectar, but still, its no edc LV...they dont try as hard on it, and its a really non friendly lineup for bassheads...they booked bassnectar thinking "hey well if we just book him, that will take all the bassheads away from mysteryland (since theyre basically battling since its the same weekend)" and then they booked like no other dubstep at all, idk i just think thats scummy, other than bassnectar theres like 2 other names in dubstep...expect a REALLY young crowd


go to mysteryland instead! gonna be so much better and its like 2 hours away from NYC...ID&T throws some serious parties and insomniac doesnt even give a shit about edc ny, its a cash grab...and mysteryland is 21+ and where woodstock was...metlife stadium is literally just a huge parking lot with a football stadium

Strawberry fields in Central Park and the big toy store in Times Square and the Big candy store on avenue of the America's! Then Macy's cause its awesome. I'm also a personal fan of then planet Hollywood restaurant or the Hard Rock Cafe. The Wax museum is awesome too. Oh and stop at every pizza place and bagel shop and buy a knish on the corner

I've been to NYC like, 6 times and this is really true.

I can't spend more than a weekend there before I feel like I need to get out.


It may be different who you go with and if you are not running around for 8 hours trying to sight see.

I'd have to disagree here. Sometimes it can be overwhelming, but its a beautiful place in the nicer parts. Sure, if you walk around the trashy ghetto areas it will feel gross, but it has lots of charm.

I'd say check out Central Park.

Lots of cool clubs and bars too!

Thanks a lot everyone for your suggestions, I've read thru everything you guys have posted and I'll talk with Lilith and see what she's up for.
Kinda wish I was there at a time I could catch a ranger/habs game.

Ya bassnectar is the vast majority of the reason I'm headed out there.
It's just too fucking tempting seeing him 5 times in 7 days...
The rest of the reason I'm going is the fact it's EDC.
After EDC 2009 I have made a point to go to at least one EDC every year, but try to go to as many as possible.
The best example of this was  2012 when I went to four different EDC' s.
This year I'm going to two, NY and Vegas.
Also I wanted to visit NY.
But I agree the line up could be better.
Oh well it's EDC, it will be off the fucking chain.

bassnectar shud be cool, i just figure id rather wait a week for red rocks...bassnectar would literally be the only name id be interested in seeing there

edc ny might be stepping up their game too tho just bc mysteryland is in town tho, def a possibility...the general consensus around the northeast is that if ur 21+, your going to mysteryland


my homies doin edc saturday for nectar then ML the next day for all dat trap...dillstradamus is gonna be fuckin dope


on a serious level, id watch yourself when your out there, bc of what happened at ezoo, i bet theres gonna be a ton of UCs and maybe even dogs too...im 100% certain that a UC asked me for L at ezoo, and i was so spun and i almost sold him some before i realized he was def a UC




did you see bassnectars AMA last week? he was talking about the aspen shows and it sounds so fuckin dope, he just basically wants to make people move and dance, not so much about new tracks or a journey/experience, just a nice DJ set thatll leave your drenched in sweat as you leave...fuck im so jealous, i wish those shows were announced earlier than they were cuz all my shit was booked by time it was announced

Find a roof to party on.  To me being on top of buildings in the city is where its at.

The Holiday inn  is pretty cool.  Easy to get up on the roof.  Usually a party of some sort after shows in town.
