the problem with whites too is there is so many of them so for every uppity nitpick doucher there are about 5 other people that are cool and warm, but you only notice the douchers

There's more culture in most places in the world than America...
I say that as an American who was born and raised in America.

As for OP, are we talking about African black people or what, and what asians? There's like 50 different kinds...

I grew up in a major North American city and there are people from a fuck of a lot of different countries including China.

Yeah I know it's diverse racially. But American culture.....compare it to culture of most other countries... it's severely lacking.

I didn't even notice until I traveled out of the country and came back.

Many other countries have a vastly deep and rich culture going back thousands of years...
America is only a couple hundred years old and our culture has become mostly Hollywood and fast food nation..

source?  China has 1.35 BILLION people belonging to recognized 56 NATIVE ethnicities (and thats apart from foreign immigrants, and these are the distinct languages that are spoken throughout the land:



China is a world onto itself with millennia of traditions.


Don't be dragging the Native American Nations into it because you have utterly marginalized. genocided and segregated them away, making them part of American culture only in names of football clubs, vehicles and military hardware.

There's actually a lot of different Asian cultures and they are all different in their ways. Also many of their ways change when they move from total poverty to the most materialistic culture in the world (USA).

Of Asians I've known, I usually find Thais to be the most laid back in their ways.

I guess I haven't known and been friends with as many black people in my life, so I'm not really sure the comparison.

Ah, so you don't actually have a source comparing the numbers of distinct cultures present in both regions. No sweat.

I see no reason to ignore native american populations but I imagine the bulk of the numbers for north america would be made up of the various immigrant populations from virtually every region of the world.

Sure, people can bring parts of their culture and blend them in. But I've found in America, for the most part, many people who come here adopt to the American way of doing things. And our lack of culture.

Race does not directly link to culture, although they can be related.. they are not intrinsically tied together. A single culture can be comprised of many different races. Yes, America is a great big melting pot of races - and we have no shortage of diverse foods because of it. But I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about the CULTURE.. the arts, customs, beliefs, ways of living.  Most people who come here eventually adopt to the mainstream American lifestyle, which has a distinct lack of culture, IMHO.

Yeah there are some great things about American culture few and far between but when I overall compare them to countries like Japan or many Euro countries I almost have a disgust for our media machine, war-mongering, materialistic and shallow "culture". Many people who live here don't even have basic knowledge of world events or history, many people live inside their little bubbles. Hell, most Americans don't even know OUR OWN history. That is a symptom of our culture. Where in other places, there can be very deep and extremely rich tradition and history.. and the people embrace their culture. After coming back from Japan I was almost ashamed to be part of this one, it's become a bit of a joke. Sure Japan and China are not without their own faults... but if we are comparing cultures.. there is no comparison IMO. Our "culture" is one of a Starbucks and a Mcdonalds on every block in between strip malls, boring architecture and McMansions.

I wasnt. I was making a point that although there aren't op's blacks and Asians or purple people out here to judge. It was a parallel to marginalized people in my specific region.

My wife's a native american so that'd be kinda dumb for me to drag her people into this.
