Extreme Procrastinators * 1

Hello my name is NotTheDevil and I am an extreme procrastinator. I have let my self fall literal months behind in school work then caught it up on more than one occasion. There are countless other examples that I'm too lazy to think of right now.

At this vary moment I'm thirsty and I have to pee really bad, but I don't wanna get up so I'm probably just going to wait until there's no choice.



Any other extreme procrastinators here?

in high school I would do my work at the beginning of class

in college I would sleep and smoke weed instead of going to class a lot of times, other times I would try doing lengthy papers like 30 mins before class with no background info on whats it about


that being said, now that im not in school my life is fairly organized and sensible and scheduled I think

Nope. I'm the polar opposite of you. Use to be one, but after beginning to do things proactively it feels much much better to do the opposite. It's much more gratifying to do things proactively, I'm sure you'd feel the same if you forced yourself to do it.

it takes me an hour usually to get my mind going in any activity. the first hour is basically lethargy and anger, then i get over it... that's why i'm better off doing shit in public, it gives me structure

    I used to do that, but I get no emotional awards whatsoever from doing it, even when it's late. Makes it hard to get motivated. For classes I really don't want to do I have to suppress my mind while focusing, not an easy task I tell you what. The only reason I could sustain this level of procrastination is my uncanny ability to do months worth of work from a single subject in a single night.

    On the other hand if I actually want to do something I'll not only do it on or ahead of time, I'll add it to some of my time off as well.

Deep set depression and a dependence on cannabis fueled my procrastination, I did horribly in school and succeeded very little in a great portion of my life. It's sad thinking about all the time and money that I wasted, doing nothing really at all. I've only recently began to change and starting to work towards actual goals in life.

It's depressing now to think of all of that.

Did anyone else see this thread in russian with all the posters names and pictures on the left side of the screen? I did and when I reloaded the page it was back to normal, i'm not sure if i'm hallucinating or if it really happened, Im pretty sure it happened.

I tend to let easy little jobs pile up, things i could do in 5 mins always seem like they could wait until a hundred of them are piled up and i find myself with a daunting work load.

The busier i keep myself the more motivated i am to set goals and tackle  day to day chores, normally if clean one spot i find it wasnt so bad and clean the whole room.
