If you think about some of these threads as an IRL conversation, even the long ones are pretty short. Granted I consider an hour long conversation relatively short

kinda towards my point, right? i mean, what else are you gonna do here? i mean, sometimes it's base crap, but it's always for some kind purpose. if not that, then it is obviously someone's want to get their thoughts out somehow... which with the Shroomery, it is a good way; sometimes people use this place like a personal Journal, well... we got those. i mean, yeah, what else to do here? saying it's bickering fidgeting is pointless.

you should make gypsy guitar recordings, Rep.

My music isn't far removed from gypsy music, once I had to turn down work for the musical production of a carnival of sorts. :nonono: perfect gig but couldn't make the commute

I think of this place as an extension of my social life  good place to have decent conversation and occasionally to meet people

Are we still talking about minimalism?

I can fit all the stuff I need to survive and enjoy myself in a big fat backpack

Sleeping bag, bivy bag (waterproof for sleeping bag), inflatable bedroll, small cooking equipment, takedown recruve bow, takedown fly rod, take down game rod, takedown cross bow, take down airshotgun (pebbles and carved wood chips work great as ammo), cast nets, cooking pots, water collection, filtering and boiling kits, firestarting kits (flint and steel), compact solar inverter, hunting tackle, fishing tackle, clothes, mozzie net and a few more essentials.

Iv lived for 2 weeks with just that and no food (other than what i could find) in th aussie bush (no pine trees to eat, spruce trees to make tea or birch trees to spark fires) and managed fine

I do like organic food though; bugs, bark, shit tasting leaves that give you diahrea, shitty bush berries (quite foul actually, not nice like the yummy berries native to north america) charred fish and meat arent the tastiest way to live.

I'm looking at buying real cheap farm land near the mountains and mouth  of the river that flows down, very close to the coast too. Plan for it to be all solar power, rain water and have a huge organic food and drugs garden. Really want to transform it into a hippy commune too, people can stay, set up camp or whatever and jam and do whatever they want so long they dont hurt anyone in exchange for helping out with the gardening  They get fed from the garden too! Cant wait, sorry if i am really going on, SWIM is very stoned.

Sounds good, although I'd think carefully about the commune idea if you haven't done it before. Experiment a little you know, small steps, cause its not for everyone.

Man how do you fit all that in your pack? I suck at packing

I like the no TV lifestyle myself. I am a bit attached to my house at the moment. Some of my hobbies take up considerable space and would not fit in a car. I have been considering lately if I should cut down on my hobbies or change how I do them to the point that I can carry all my essentials in bag.

The net is indeed a nice place to sell stuff. Beats garage sales and news ads

lol, the last thing i watched was the Wire... i almost am playing catch up, i don't watch much TV stuff... i don't even watch much anything... sometimes ill get high and watch on old school movie; or something cool and fucked up (Eraserhead) sometimes a new documentary (that's mostly what i watch, when i am gonna watch something) and good new horror movie... maybe on the odd occasion Hollywood pumps out something decent... very are i'll go to the theater... foreign films are about the only "new" movies i'll be interested in on a regular basis, but i still have a shit ton i still haven't even viewed yet once...

meh, watching shit makes me fidgety.
