A 'Grow Reports' page similar to the Trip Reports is currently in the works. It will probably serve the function you just asked about. I can't say when it'll be done though. Later.------------------

Make sure it's not very similar to trip reports. We want hard results of experiments, and laid out in a consistent manner. Kinda like one of those experiment sheets you had to fill out in chemistry 101. This has been discussed, suggested, and forgotten more times since I've been here than almost any other subject. Please, dig up some of those old posts to get a feel for what the shroomerites want. Perhaps a form, so that people at least know what they should include, even if they choose to leave some things out. It would help with the consistency of things, and people that had actually done the experiments would be more likely to actually put their results to good use than speculators bullshitting like they always do on other boards.

Though grow reports are great, they may get repetitious, perhaps there should be a degree of 'filtering' by the public or those who have control. Also, when I made the suggestion I really meant somewhere where not only grow reports would reside but reports on battling different contamination, reports on sterilisation and success etc. Whereas you can put in that you experimented with adding a little sugar to the substrate, or you tried to grow mycellium on your latest wacko idea for a substrate you cannot include the bits that don't really fit into a 'big picture thing' such as a grow report (well without forcing those who would love to know about the results of specific goals, not the whole picture).Not that I think you are gods and have the ability to bend your will to anybodies suggestions you seem to be decent people prepared to hear out ideas. flaw.

grow reports are great, maybe even a statistic with common errors, average yield per cake and tek etc....grow reports could be rated like trip reports. Maybe that would help newbies and maybe we wouldn`t have as much beginner Questions anymore..and kind of a feedpack section for every report where others could add something to the report or can ask Qustions (with a e-mail link to the author)...
I would also suggest that the moderators save some threads (most ineresting, wise etc..) in kind of "best of BB section...[This message has been edited by Prellgott (edited November 18, 1999).]

What questions would you like to see included in the survey? In the final form, the grow reports thang will be searchable by each of these fields. Later.------------------

Here are the questions that should be listed
in the survey/report sheet. Feel free to add.- Species+substrain slang name
- Substrate (liquid, agar, spawn, bulk)
- spawn method (pf jars, free grain, agar)
- Type of innoculant
- method of innoculation
- Colonization rate +additional notes
- sclerota formation? how much
- Fruiting method +notes(casing, etc.)
- Days to pinning
- Carpophore development rate
- sporulation levels (low/high)
- viablility of spores
- Wet Yield in grams
- Potency wet (approx)
- Dry yield in grams
- potency dry (approx)
- Number of flushes (time between flushes)
- Yield and potency of consecutive flushes
