Anyone against employing easy access to a scientifically proven life saver is an ignorant boob. OD deaths aren't just from to high a dose or iv use even. Stopping the opiates affect stops the repertory depression allowing breathing to occur saving someone's life.

If you know nothing of the subject don't talk.

This.

Also, those of you with your high-horse attitude can fuck off. Addicts are just as deserving of care as you.

Not all addicts are bad people. Besides, if someones dieing you can't just let them die, unless you personally hate them, then It's understandable.

I'd let dictators that caused pain to the world to die. Not over a petty personal conflict

junkies aren't in it to save their lives. these are addicts who like being high. Street junkies are different than high society junkies (celebrities), so maybe this product caters to the rich. A street junkie would never know about such product nor would have the $ to buy one when a real junkie is more likely desperate for another hit.

I know of dealers who don't use that feind for their desires and control more than an addict fiends a drug. The whole point is it is not the drug that's the problem, but peoples attitude. Most criticize junkies yet never been one or truly spent time to understand who they are and how they got where they are. The worst people are the ones criticizing all drug addicts as junkies yet never used a drug besides what docs tell them to or even know anyone who uses any even possibly during themself out from anyone who may.

Some junkies are left to resort to stress m street doctors as most doctors won't care unless someone on good terms with them fight for your needs to be taken care of. Some get sick wasting the time and money getting played jumping through hoops to be in a worse place than they started and I say that from many experiences. Sometimes it's easier to buy from the street than rely on ignorant doctors to find usually more harmful substitutes like methadon or tramadol for pain. Some prefer just getting dope from a friend or a substitute low prices high risk rc to manage the pain until therapy or recovery is complete.

Of course if you don't use the idea of relieving crippling physical pain due to underlying damage with drugs may seem like someone getting high, but it is so much more when something like a fentanyl patch for a spinal nerve pinch affecting the testicular cluster causing vice grip like pain so the person can have a somewhat pain free functioning lifestyle.

Seriously don't criticize addicts and homeless until you or your closest friends has to go through it.... As far as a friend going through it that is of course reliant on not being a dick and being their for them during their struggle.

most junkies I have met were "party people" gone bad.

taco dude the junkies you're describing are more likely trust fund junkies. those are not "street junkies".

That is why they hand these out for free at some needle exchanges, and it isn't exactly expensive to produce.

Also not everyone who abuses opioid is either a celebrity or some type of vagrant.  There are users in all walks of life, some even manage to hold down long term jobs.

Don't even talk about j junkies and their categories to me. You sound like you have some issues yourself your covering up attacking some junkies yet defending some. Junkie is just a disgusting term. There is someone dependant and someone addicted and sometimes both. Hell I've seen weed junkies that give up all individuality to be part of the group that calls their mom punk bitches that need keeping in line yet spoil them like rotten pigs even though they claim some of the most dangerous gangs while having no family routes to them.

Needle exchange saves lives though not just for junkie. It's a great resource and usually where you get narcan od prevention. I actually got the nasal spray version and learned useful tips like rescue breathing and rubbing the sternum (center chest) hard and screaming Imma narcan you as no one wants that before doing it to make sure it's not just a survivable heavy nod their grooving on. Also don't reedose as the opiate will not have effect without the narcan unbinding and breaking down in a half hour once some of the opiate breaks down while it can't bind allowing a safe high once the od prevention wears off.

Narcan can help sober friend save their addict friends. Unfortunately it can be misused to. Please don't ruin this miracle compound for all.

the needle exchanges here dont offer narcan.. neither are they an exchange.  Theyre just assholes who give addicts as many needles as they want which means my yard, mailbox and car get needles in and around them.  Fuck addicts.

Blame the addicts who don't safely depose. There's needles up and down the sidewalk here sometimes uncapped with a bloody needle poking. Still it's better they don't share needles and don't spread things like hiv.

i'm really skeptical of their motives behind the "new tool"  i dont mean to berate people for being addicted to drugs... i mean i know, okay?

but srrsly....  so much effort is going into opioid R & D and to what end?  i mean-- it's a nice tool, obviously it could be really useful.  In the end it only exists to make some fat cat filthy rich by modifying the suffering of others caused by the existence of the fat cat to begin with.  Otherwise it's mildly interesting...

it's a viscous circle jerk...  sorry if i ruffled the feathers

+5 for this post.
I can't believe the attitudes regarding those who are addicts. It's despicable.

I never got the sense that you had anything against addicts Trav. I see that you are asking questions which people should instead of accepting everything for face value. This is being touted as a savior when the underlying problem was previously a supply issue.

I am not into self loathing much these days ^_^ Lucky for me I'm allergic to opiates so it's pretty difficult to develop a habit. Makes me all hyperactive and shit.

Lol an agora vendor said oc hcl powder for add xD IMO it's not the opiate dependancy thats a problem, but what one will do to satisfy dependancy needs.... Such as injecting and handling gear from a street dealers cheeck whos sick with who knows what? If some jackass with hiv was doing that imagine the devestation it would cause to a community becoming a unusual outbreak that would be hard to identify the source and stop the spread,,...

Drug war is bad Mkay,
