They do have a 4 star PF redshirt waiting in the wings (Mark Donnal). 6'9" but he's skinny as fuck. Needs to put on some weight. I think he goes like 210 lol. Probably a stretch 4.

Arizona State has a very solid big man, name Bachsinski or something. I dont see why Michigan has such problems recruiting centers. I cant even remember the last time we had a 7 footer

So you think Jordan Morgan will be the only guy we lose after this season?

I am still unsure whether or not Staukas will come back for another season. I feel about 75% he will come back considering all the talent they will still have but if he were to enter the draft, I could see him going late 1st round, early 2nd round. I am waiting to see how Walton Jr. develops in the offseason as well, he has shown flashes of great potential. Same with Zak Irvin

Well for one centers aren't a priority for Beilein. The most notable big man I can think of that he's had was Pittsnogle, and he was notable because he was a big white dude that could shoot.

I remember him

I just like having a big man for rebounding purposes and easy 2nd chance points. I am not a big fan of teams that live and die by the parameter shot. Luckily Michigan has gotten a lot better at having Staukas and LeVert drive the ball to the rim

A lot of B1G teams focus on rebounding as a team effort and don't rely on a dedicated center. I mean let's be real, 7 footers aren't exactly abundant anyway.

As of this second I don't think he'd go high enough to justify going pro just yet (late first round seems about right), but if he gets hot and has a ridiculous tourney run and boosts his stock up to lets say...no later than a mid round lock, then he may very well take off.

Reports are his Dad is really big on him going pro asap.

Yeah 21 seems fair.. I havent seen any mock drafts but that's where I guessed he would be around..

I hope for Michigan's sake he stays 1 more year and works on his game a bit more and builds his body a bit more, but in all honesty I think he is about a polished as he is going to get

Man if he stays though...with McGary coming back at a 100%, and with a season under the belts of both Walton & Irvin...and then add in the incoming class -- they could be a legit national title contender next season.

But right now there's no doubt that he could have a role in the NBA next year. His shot is arguably the deadliest in the country. And he's not just a spot up shooter like everyone thought, either. He drives and passes with good efficiency as well.

Yeah I agree, I have never really seen a white basketball player like him. He has a deadly jump shot from anywhere on the floor but as you said, he plays defense and can pass the ball and drive to the rim and finish there as well. Hes the complete package but just missing a little bit of NBA size

He reminds me a bit of JJ Reddick but obviously has a more all-around game than JJ does

Both LeVert and Robinson III have came a long way as well in terms of putting on size and improving their games

Well we finished out fucking strong

23-7 and best record in the big 10, 15-3 in a very strong big 10 conference

even our losses were against pretty good teams; Iowa State, Duke, Arizona, Iowa, Wisconsin, and 2 bad losses vs. Indiana and Charlotte

Depending on how we shape in the conference tourney, I see us being either a 3 or a 4 seed. a 5 at the worst




1st round bye in the conference tourney and get the winner of Indiana vs. Illinois which most likely means a 3rd matchup vs. a solid Indiana team; then either Nebraska or Ohio State (I am guessing Ohio State).. And all going good we play Wisconsin/ Michigan State for the Big10 conference tourney championship.

I see us most likely finishing 2nd in the conference tourney which would lock us into a 4 seed at worse, but more likely a 3 seed. If we win the tourney (which would be very difficult) I could see us snagging a 2 seed

Bielien for coach of the year!

Yeah I agree. Looks like a 3 seed with the potential for a 2 spot if Michigan wins the conference tourney. I'm glad they came back to beat Indiana yesterday. For some reason I just really hate those fuckers. Especially Crean.

Picklez -- you going to watch the Mich game this morn? On in 20. Versus Illinois. Heard on ESPN this morning that Mich could have a legit shot at a 1 seed in the tourney if they were to take the Big Ten tournament. Which is insane when you think about how they were unranked after McGary went down.

Well we are #8 in the country right now and have the chance to beat some more ranked teams before the big dance

Got to take care of the Buckeyes tomorrow. For a 3rd time. Could prove to be a tough game though. Ohio State is extremely streaky.
