it should be noted, that this species NEVER has an in-rolled margin.

also, it has been up for debate as to whether this species is active or not.
i do not believe it is...
on this day, i found about 50 specimens in total.
about 40 of them showed signs of a blue-green mold.
i think this is where the confusion begins...
for some reason, this species seems very susceptible to a certain mold growth. :shrug:
i do not know why atm.
so, regardless of activity...this blue/green mold/coloration, seems like a good identifiable feature.

also, to note...
this species is also "vulnerable" to KOH.
when i applied 5% KOH to the samples for micro, they immediately became unstable and mounting them became impossible.
i then had to mount them in Isopropyl alcohol (thanks to Alan for the advice) so they did not "fall apart" under the cover slip...
