Bartending at a festival

Hi everyone. I am planning on hitting a lot of festivals this year but I want to make some money in the process. I was thinking of setting up a bar in my camp. I have an ez up and I would just set up a table underneath it with a sign advertising my drinks.

I was thinking I could make a large batch of white Russians in a cooler, made to order margaritas and jello shots.

I was thinking of having the white Russians as 4 dollars, the margaritas as 4 dollars and the jello shots as 1 dollar. I think I could make a decent profit doing this if I sold enough.

For all you festie heads out there would you want to buy these drinks if you saw me selling them and do those prices sound reasonable to you?

I'd consider a margarita. The one thing to watch out for is this is obviously not going to be okay with most/all festivals you'll be at. It's one thing to sell drugs as that doesn't directly compete with anything for sale at the festival itself. Alcohol, on the other hand, is a big money maker for them.

The only time I've purchased alcohol off someone else at a fest was buying beer. Buy cases of whatever shitty beer you want and sell 'em for a buck a pop. It's real easy to dump beer off, I've brought in an extra case or two myself before to sell just to recoup the cost of my own alcohol.

No lol but the festivals I go to don't usually have any kiddies running around and I wouldn't sell anything to anyone who looked underage anyway.

Definitely if you don't id. But just know there are a lot of people who do this so you're going to have to spend most of the festival walking around selling your products rather than relaxing and catching shows. But you could make a good buck or a few

I don't know haha. I'm just trying to think of some easy good drinks that I could mix up in a big batch and have ready to do. Do you have any suggestions?

make a cocktail of all the big name commercial beers and see who gags first

Mojitos are real quick to make and great on a hot day. You could try and experiment with a premade mix and then just pour it over fresh mint too, don't see why that wouldn't work.

I bought plenty of beers when I was an underage kid at concerts. You can definitely get arrested or at the very least kicked out of the show after your beers are confiscated then drank by security.

Basically the same risk as selling drugs with little to gain.

at schwagstocks, they'd walk around saying a beer a buck what the fuck?  and you'd pretty much have to buy one at that point.  also, buy cartons of cigarettes, sell by the pack for a dollar or two mark up.

gets you good n drunk and it tastes pretty good

Schwag had a Boulevard Brewing tent that did extremely well. Of course, many people will want swill (Bud/Miller), but my point is that yes, it's a good idea with whatever booze you're selling.

I always bring a couple mixed cases of beer, a few bottles of rye, one of bourbon, two 2L of club soda, and a gallon of distilled water. Mostly for my friends and I, but I always make a couple new ones :lol:

But honestly, I just don't like whiskey sours. Don't like margaritas either, unless they're just tequila, triple sec, water or club soda, and fruit wedges, and I prefer it without the triple sec :lol:
