Broken Plate Mystery

Heard a loud crash an hour ago that sounded like dinner ware breaking, went to check out the damage. Plate shattered into tiny tiny little slivers on the tile floor. My cat runs out the kitchen. I check her paw, no blood. So I clean up the shit. Got everything all in one pile then I look over to the counter.

The counter is all filled up really nowhere a plate would be, dish tub all filled with dirty dishes.

Yet I look on the counter and a small sliver of the broken plate is up on the counter. How the fuck does a ceramic plate just break like that? The tallest thing is a 6inch cup with a box of stove top on it.

It's like some breaking bad shit and sherlock holmes shit. I'm only thinking ghost at this point. Don't think my cat would be that clumsy or walk up there.

Maybe the other cat was trying to nix her and as the plate broke a peice of it got stuck in her paw and she jumped up their. Or maybe a estranged hamster ghost terrified of the cat.
