I Saved a Doggy Poo Today :D * 2
    #18993904 - 10/18/13 01:37 AM (10 years, 3 months ago)

So this guy that lives in my neighborhood deals a lot of pills--somas, roxies, morphine sulfate, subs...

Out of the blue, he texts me that his dog died and him and his parents have been freaking out for the past hour. Then 20 minutes later, he texts me saying that he feels a faint heartbeat, but that his dog was not breathing.

For some reason, I just knew. I told him, "He ate some of your stash by accident... probably a roxy that was on the ground that you didn't know you dropped. Take him to the vet now, he's dying of oxygen deprivation, and only has a few more minutes left."

He took his dog to the vet and told the vet what had happened, and the staff hooked his dog up to one of those oxygen machines. Within a few hours, his dog came to. His vet came to the same conclusion that I had--that he likely ate some pill (or pills) that were on the ground, and overdosed.

The dealer guy said it didn't even occur to him that his dog may have eaten some of his stash. He thought his dog maybe passed of a sudden heart attack, and was going to just let him be until I put that thought in his head.

This is the second organism that I saved from a lethal dose of opiates. The first one, was a friend who overdosed from a shot of heroin who I ended up giving CPR to until an ambulance arrived. Coincidentally, I had just completed my CPR certification earlier that very same week.

I feel like my life is now complete. May that doggy live a long and plentiful life with no more accidents in the future (I hope!).

Props to ya miss g
I think I saved some dumb ass kids life back in high school once when he was drunk off his ass and tried taking a hand full of pills from someones parents bathroom during a party.
I smacked them out of his hand and sent them flying.
He ended up only taking two and the next time I saw him, he was passed out in a puddle of puke.

Are you leaving out the part where you took a huge hit of crack and blew it into the dogs face.  By the time the cloud faded, the dog was up and alert running around the house.

I wasn't going to read this thread until I saw who posted it. Then I thought, this could be interesting :strokebeard:

I had to read it twice to figure out there was no dog shit involved, and OP said "organism" not "orgasm"

Good on you G. I must say though- had the thought of taking the dog to the vet really not occurred to these people? I mean isn't that what you do if your dog is in trouble?

I think I'd gain a bunch of perspective saving not only a dog, but your friend overdosing on heroin...

Awesome save, Crystal!  Good for you for stepping into the situation and doing the right thing!

I'll think twice now before I give my dogs shrooms.  j/k
