Psychological thrillers?

I saw "Trance" recently, really enjoyed it. What psychological thriller should I see next? I'm new to the genre

Preferably something post-2000 for reasons of video quality

That's kinda bullshit IMO, video quality for even very old movies is generally pretty awesome on blu-ray, and anyway crap grainy footage often adds to the atmosphere in psychological thrillers. Check out Following by Christopher Nolan, terrible video quality (B&W 16 mm) but still very engaging story-wise. Alfred Hitchock shit's good too. A lot of David Cronenberg movies are also pretty good thrillers, including most of the shittiest looking oldest ones.

I've seen plenty of great 90's movies, some 80's, and even a couple good 70's and pre-70's movies. However, honestly, it's not just the video quality for which I prefer newer films for. It's also public opinion at the time. 30 years ago, people were generally more openly racist and homophobic. Not only that, but less open-minded and more prejudiced in general. On top of that, special effects weren't at the point they are now. I acknowledge the fact that there have been many fantastic films made decades or longer ago, but I gotta be honest, I just couldn't buy into the original Alien as much as I did the recent Prometheus due to the CGI or rather lack of thereof in the original. How are you supposed to be scared of a man in a suit?

So in all, that's why I said I'd prefer post-2000 flicks. Nevertheless, I may check out some of your suggestions.

I remember the night myself.
It was the day it came out, and it was storming outside and my dad didn't want to take me and my brother but we were all like  :crankey: and he was all like  :rolleyes: & took us and they were giving out holographic mew cards and I grabbed a shit ton of em... Don't remember the movie itself at all though.

I had some chineese holographic mew that was inside of a special casing at one point in time


I think the thing was every once in a while there would be a chineese card mixed in with all the normals and it would be super rare (but i could be like way off)
