I dont see why people stick up for Git prisoners.

Especially POW's that fought against us.  I'm actually glad were force feeding those fucks, I dont want them to die from hunger thats too easy and they would prefer it, keep them alive and make them pay/suffer for what they did.

1- Fuck the critics and those who don't even try to understand. Just saying....

Regarding his behavior in the video, I'm really surprised some people don't seem to "get it."  Mos Def is an actor. IMHO he's a pretty good actor (better than some in hollywood, for sure.)  So of course he was making it a little dramatic. But that's not disingenuous. If these people are really protesting, and don't want to eat, chances are they would resist. So chances are, that's what it would really look like. IMHO he was just trying to give an accurate portrayal.


Further, a good actor gets into character by trying to become that character. Try to get into their mind, think what they think, feel what they feel. As a muslim, who may sympathize with some of the guys in guantanamo (who some insist are not involved in terrorism and thus are being unjustly persecuted for being arab / muslim) this is probably easier for him to do, and is probably a somewhat emotional experience for him.


You combine that sympathy and "getting into character" with the pain and anxiety of the experience, and I would just about bet money those tears at the very end are real, even though the struggling at the beginning isn't.

Neither one of you who are saying Mos Def is being over dramatic has ever had the procedure done to you. It hurts like no tomorrow. Probably one of the worst pains i've ever felt in my life next to tooth pain.

Say whatever you want, i've lived it.

Keep acting like you know something when you don't. If you clearly look at the reaction of Mos def and at what stage those reactions are occuring, he didn't just make up that behavior out of thin air. As the tube goes all the way up the nose, he grunts a very painful grunt that lines up with that step. The facial expression he has during this stage confirms what he is feeling. Then as the tube starts to go down the throat, he starts gagging. This is common when this procedure is being done, just google it.

As an experiment, I want you all to go get a qtube and try to stick it up your nose. When you hit the tender spot, that's nowhere even near all the way up your nose. Now just imagine a thick tube going up there. Yea, that's what I thought.

I'm not sticking up for anyone, I am just questioning US policy, is that OK?  Or should anyone that questions the integrity of US policy just leave the US?

The US went into Afghanistan and captured people, they were not in a military, we don't know what they did (if anything) to deserve to be captured and detained indefinitely.

If you think that all of the actions of the US military are perfect, I guess you don't need to justify anything, I am not so naive.

I can't believe so many people have the "idgaf if they are treated inhumanely, lock them up and throw away the key without a fair trial" attitude. Sure most of them are guilty but you don't KNOW that they are. Innocent people have been sent to guantanimo bay.

we were attacked numerous times by a group of nutters, afghanistan's
government, the taliban, decided to protect the nutters, it was clearly
stated that we'd go to war with anyone trying to protect them, if the
taliban did not try and harbor these fugitives then we'd not be in
afghanistan... why we didnt invade pakistan is beyond me

if the canadians decided to attack china and then china invaded the US then
the comparison could be drawn, we'd give up the canadians though
