Justin the kitten, who was set on fire last week in Philadelphia, recovers with help of Crown Veterinary Specialists and Emergency and the Animal Alliance of New Jersey.

A tiny kitten left to die after being doused in gasoline and set on fire is making a steady recovery.

Five-week-old Justin, who weighs just 1 pound, was dumped on a busy Philadelphia street on Thursday of last week after being tortured in a horrific attack.



A Good Samaritan found him, still in flames, after being abandoned near McPherson Square Park.



A message from Crown Veterinary Specialists: "Update on Justin!! He is doing great! He loves to eat. He is using the litter box like a good kitty. He has become interested in playing with his toys. Thank you all for caring. Justin is a sweetheart! It is our pleasure to care for him!"

With second- and third-degree burns across a third of his body — which will leave him with permanent bald patches — vets were unsure as to whether he'd survive.


They've already said both of his ears will have to be amputated.

And they have revealed he is fighting a daily battle against deadly infections that threaten to take over his body.

But heart-warming footage released Thursday shows the black and white kitty getting back to normal — playing with his caregivers, gently nibbling and pawing at their hands.

"He's doing remarkably well, but he's not out of the woods yet," said Anne Trinkle, executive director of Animal Alliance, which is looking after the poor puss at a facility in Lebanon Township, N.J.

The Humane Society is offering $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of his abusers.

Someone stole my black cat and tool him to the graveyard close by, tied him to a cross and lit him on fire. He came crawling back with his leg dangling off and had to have it cut off.
He has no fur and was covered in burns and has scars where they tied him up so tight with the wire.
That was 10 years ago, he's now 16 and still pushing on with 3 legs and is the best cat I've ever had.
I know I will probably never know who did it but if by some slim chance I do find them I will kill them. Breaks my heart knowing someone did this to my cat

Aw. That's the saddest kitty face ever.


I hope whoever did this gets cancer of the head of the dick (or clitoris) and has to get it cut off, but they didn't catch the spread in time,  and the amputation site gets infected, and they slowly rot to death from the inside, all the while being stung by hundreds of angry bees and getting raped with a tree stump while being kicked in their stupid face repeatedly.
