Tuukka Rask is a really great goalie.
He used to play hockey (goalie) in my home town, so lets go Bruins :thumbup:

It's a whole new series now for Chicago. Winning on the road after being down. Finally scoring on the power play. Toews finally scoring. Rask finally gives up a load of goals. Hawks take back home ice advantage.
    I think it's back to being a dead even coin flip.

The league and the network have to be creaming their jeans. Two big markets, originals six, looks like it could go 7. Every game except one goes to overtime; lots of ratings and lots of extra commercials. They couldn't have written a better script. They're going to remember this one.

That game was a bag of mixed feelings. The offense really clicked with Kane and Toews back on the same line and Hossa back in. But the defense was brutal. Hammer has been pretty much awful all series long, which is worrisome. He was great in 2010, then seemed to fall off the earth the previous two seasons, but stepped up again huge this year to become their top stay at home d-man. This series he has sucked. Even Keith had a weak game last night. Crawford got exposed, he couldn't stop shit glove side. I hope that's just a bad game, but I still cannot feel confidence in him after the last two seasons of mediocre play and his ability to let in softies and losing his confidence. Although Boston had a couple decent bounces go their way, which happens, and I don't fault Crawford for all those goals.
Relieving to see Rask finally get lit up.
I pray Q does not fuck with the lines again. The offense was rolling yesterday, keep it that way. Even Frolik/Kruger got rewarded for their consistent hard work.
I don't think the Hawks can rely on Crawford to steal a game for them, so the D has to step up and protect him better. Giving up goals shortly after scoring is disheartening.
Awesome series though, I am digging this. Hawks are taking ten years off my life.

I think that's even more exciting than 2010, this was a finish, we saw it and knew it immediately. No confusion.

Why does Bettman even come out? Can we not have someone else do this? By far the most awkward presentations I've ever seen, and it's every year, and it always seems to be won on the road. Do we need him out there? The best was Carolina in 2006 when Brindamour tried to take the cup before he was done talking. Keep Bettman out of the public eye, seriously.

Go Hawks!! I'm stuck out in the far flung suburbs so there's no partying here, but fireworks were going off all over the place.

Just read this on CBSSPORTS.COM

When NHL Commissioner Gary "Beavis" Bettemen presented the Conn Symthe and Stanley Cup Trophies to Hawks Patrick Kane and Jonathon Toews the Boston crowd booed loudly.
(I saw this live earlier but it was at a bar, so you know how that goes)
    So I was curious, were they booing Bettemen, or were they booing the Hawks guys getting the trophies, or both.
    Nope. According to CBS as soon as Bettemen stepped away and the Blackhawks guys picked up their trophies, the crowd stopped booing.

    Way to go Boston. NHL fans.

the ending of that game was amazing. 

2 goals, :17 seconds apart.

I wouldn't have liked to be a hawks fan leaving out of that stadium, with all the butt-hurt Boston fans.

Everyone boos Bettman every year though, except LA didn't so much last year. But he always gets it, and much worse on the road. This isn't limited to Boston. Vancouver probably game it to him worse than anyone, as the Canadian fans tend to dislike him even more for his perceived bias towards floundering american markets. He'd have gotten it in Chicago if Boston won game 7. Philly was worse than Boston, I recall them booing the Hawks more while the trophy was being lifted, Boston mostly stopped after Bettman got out. It seems like a somewhat poor image for the sport, the crowning of the champion every year is drowned out by boos. Why why why does he still come out? Get Bill Daly or some other stooge to do it.

Anyway, great season, this shortened season was a lot of fun, honestly. I hope it never happens again, I'm fucking tired of the lockout nonsense. But this was a unique season, packed with action, and as a Hawks fan, they pulled me back in after some hard feelings towards the league when the season started.
